The demand for food production has been growing exponentially due to the increase in global population. Innovative approaches enhance agricultural productivity have explored, including new applications of nanoparticles agriculture. nanoparticle application agriculture can generate environmental and human health risks since contaminate soil inevitably reach groundwater, potentially causing toxicity aquatic organisms. In this study, we evaluated benefits gold (GNPs), synthesized via green chemistry, on growth cultivated plants zebrafish embryo model. GNPs were through an economical environmentally friendly method using Brazilian red propolis (BRP) extract (BRP-GNPs). BRP-GNPs exhibited negative positive effects plant germination, depending concentration tested species involved. Moreover, induced developmental fish embryos a dose-dependent manner. Our results provide valuable insights assessing biogenic GNPs.

Autoimmune diseases present complex therapeutic challenges due to their chronic nature, systemic impact, and requirement for precise immunomodulation avoid adverse side effects. Recent advancements in biodegradable stimuli-responsive nanomaterials have opened new avenues targeted drug delivery systems capable of addressing these challenges. This review provides a comprehensive analysis state-of-the-art nanocarriers such as polymeric nanoparticles, liposomes, hydrogels engineered autoimmune therapies. These are designed degrade safely the body while releasing agents response specific stimuli, including pH, temperature, redox conditions, enzymatic activity. By achieving localized controlled release anti-inflammatory immunosuppressive agents, minimize toxicity enhance efficacy. We discuss underlying mechanisms nanomaterials, recent applications treating rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease, design considerations essential clinical translation. Additionally, we address current challenges, biocompatibility, scalability, regulatory hurdles, well future directions integrating advanced nanotechnology with personalized medicine treatment. highlights transformative potential presenting them promising strategy advance precision improve patient outcomes disease management.

Global agricultural by-products usually go to waste, especially in developing countries where products are exported as raw products. Such waste streams, once converted "value-added" could be an additional source of revenue while simultaneously having positive impacts on the socio-economic well-being local people. We highlight utilization thermochemical techniques activate and convert streams such rice straw husk, coconut fiber, coffee wastes, okara power wastes commonly found world into porous activated carbons biofuels. suitable for various applications environmental remediation, climate mitigation, energy storage, conversions batteries supercapacitors, improving crop productivity producing useful

The impact of the anthropic activities in Antarctica is a concerning issue. According to Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research, attention has be paid next-generation contaminants deriving from both long-range atmospheric transport and local sources. In this study, capabilities transmission electron microscopy with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy Raman micro-spectroscopy were exploited evaluate size, morphology, chemical composition small micro- nanoparticles, as well their aggregates, surface snow samples collected during 2020–2021 austral summer coastal area Victoria Land near Mario Zucchelli research station. presence biological particles, mineral dust, sea salts, carbonaceous plastic nanoparticles was assessed. Sulfate, carbonate, nitrate minerals detected all samples, whereas polyethylene, poly(ethylene-co-vinyl-acetate), different kinds materials predominantly identified closest base. containing heavy metals polymers areas surrounding Italian base highlights anthropogenic polar environment, suggesting need for continuous monitoring possible threats delicate ecosystem.
