In recent years, there has been growing interest in the varied applications of nanobubble technology. Given their unique physicochemical properties, such as minuscule size (< 1 µm), surface charge, and high internal pressure, nanobubbles (NB) could provide new opportunities fields environmental engineering (including remediation, water treatment, aerobic fermentation, anaerobic digestion, algal biomass production), agriculture agronomy, horticulture, aquaculture, aquaponics, bioponics, hydroponics). addition, applying NB-derived reactive oxygen species (ROS) can inactivate pathogens remove harmful microorganisms on food, persistent organic pollutants from wastewater (removal efficacies > 60%). NB technology also maintain aqueous phase dissolved levels compared to conventional aeration, demonstrated hydroponics intensive crop farming, where NB-treated led increases plant yields (10–40%). However, a concise comprehensive source information fundamental mechanisms involving is lacking. As advance into biological frontier, these serve critical knowledge areas toward understanding NB–biomolecular cellular action. mass transfer performance not stringently assessed. To summarize current understanding, this review provides an updated, in-depth discussion technologies for various agricultural fields. Mechanistic details focusing electrostatic hydrophobic attachment, formation ROS, gas–liquid are discussed. This further outlines challenges concludes with important research needs

Abstract This study delves into the aroma characteristics and microbial composition of filler tobacco leaves (FTLs) sourced from six distinct cigar-growing regions within Yunnan, China, following standardized fermentation. An integrated approach using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC–MS), electronic nose (E-nose), microbiome analysis was employed for comprehensive profiling. Results derived Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) E-nose data confirmed presence notable variability in flavor substance profiles among FTLs regions. Additionally, GC–MS used to discern disparities volatile organic compound (VOC) distribution across these regions, identifying 92, 81, 79, 58, 69, 92 VOCs each respective sample set. Significantly, 24 emerged as pivotal determinants contributing heterogeneity diverse origins, indicated by Variable Importance Projection (VIP) analysis. Furthermore, distinctions free amino acid content chemical constituents were observed FTLs. Of noteworthy significance, solanone, isophorone, durene, (-)-alpha-terpineol, 2,3'-bipyridine exhibited strongest correlations with data, fungal microorganisms exerting a more pronounced influence on metabolites, elucidated through two-way orthogonal partial least-squares (O2PLS) modeling. These findings provide theoretical technical basis accurately evaluating synchronization aromas fermentation processes, they will enhance quality fermented foster growth domestic cigar industry ultimately.
