Globalization, demographic changes, and technological advances are the main driving forces of development in 21st Century shape changes that will occur future. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (collectively abbreviated as STEM) education has developed a curriculum aiming to improve students' skills by presenting cohesive learning platform primarily based on real-world applications. With this background, shipping engineering study program with schools helps students develop 21st-century competencies through Engineering Design Process method virtual ship prototype modeling training using Maxsurf modeler software. The aims build strong foundation competency character hope helping Riau Islands Province inside outside school considering parameters regarding interacting various cultural backgrounds, being open-minded, ability innovate, setting goals. At end assessment, work effectively diverse teams increased.ABSTRAKGlobalisasi, perubahan demografi, dan kemajuan teknologi adalah kekuatan pendorong utama perkembangan di Abad 21 membentuk perubahan-perubahan yang akan terjadi masa depan. Pendidikan Sains, Teknologi, Rekayasa, Matematika (secara kolektif disingkat telah berkembang sebagai kurikulum bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dengan menghadirkan pembelajaran kohesif sebagian besar didasarkan pada aplikasi dunia nyata. Dengan latar belakang tersebut, maka studi teknik perkapalan bersama sekolah membantu mengembangkan kompetensi Sofskill melalui metode pelatihan permodelan prototipe kapal menggunakan perangkat lunak maxsurf modeler. Tujuan membangun landasan karakter abad kuat harapan Provinsi Kepulauan dalam luar mempertimbangkan parameter mengenai berinteraksi berbagai budaya, berpikiran terbuka, kemampuan berinovasi menetapkan tujuan. Pada ahir penilaian menunjukkan peningkatan bekerja efektif tim beragam mengalami peningkatan.
