Petroleum hydrocarbons, heavy metals and agricultural pesticides have mutagenic, carcinogenic, immunotoxic teratogenic effects cause drastic changes in soil physicochemical microbiological characteristics, thereby representing a serious danger to health environment. Therefore, pollution urgently requires the application of series biological techniques treatments minimize extent damage. Among them, bioremediation has been shown be an alternative that can offer economically viable way restore polluted areas. Due difficulty choosing best technique for each type pollutant paucity literature on enhanced by use specific additives, we reviewed main situ ex methods, their current properties applications. The first section discusses characteristics class pollutants detail, while second presents technologies uses, followed comparative analysis showing respective advantages disadvantages. Finally, address surfactants biosurfactants as well trends contaminated soils.

Contaminants, organic or inorganic, represent a threat for the environment and human health in recent years their presence persistence has increased rapidly. For this reason, several technologies including bioremediation combination with nanotechnology have been explored to identify more systemic approaches removal from environmental matrices. Understanding interaction between contaminant, microorganism, nanomaterials (NMs) is of crucial importance since positive negative effects may be produced. example, some are stimulants microorganisms, while others toxic. Thus, proper selection paramount importance. The main objective review was analyze principles assisted by nanomaterials, nanoparticles (NPs) included, It also analyzed response living organisms employed remediate contaminants nanomaterials. Besides, we discuss international regulatory frame applicable these how they might contribute sustainability.

A crude oil spill is a common issue during offshore drilling, transport and transfer to onshore. Second, the production of petroleum refinery effluent known cause pollution due its toxic discharge. Sea habitats onshore soil biota are affected by total hydrocarbons (TPH) as pollutant in their natural environment. Crude seawater, estuaries beaches requires an efficient process cleaning. To remove pollutants from various physicochemical biological treatment methods have been applied worldwide. method using bacteria, fungi algae has recently gained lot attention efficiency lower cost. This review introduces studies related bioremediation oil, TPH products bioaugmentation biostimulation or both together. Bioremediation mentioned this paper can be used for such emulsified residual spilled seawater with floating containment booms enclosed basin bioreactor, that will help environmental researchers solve these problems completely clean-up spills seawater.
