Histamine is a biologically active molecule that serves as reliable predictor of the quality fish. In this work, authors have developed novel humanoid-shaped tapered optical fiber (HTOF) biosensor based on localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) phenomenon to detect varying histamine concentrations. experiment, and distinctive tapering structure has been using combiner manufacturing system contemporary processing technologies. Graphene oxide (GO)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are immobilized HTOF probe increase biocompatibility biosensor. instance, GO/MWCNTs deployed first, then gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). Consequently, help give abundant space for immobilization (AuNPs in case) well area attachment biomolecules surface. By immobilizing AuNPs probe, evanescent field can stimulate excite LSPR phenomena sensing histamine. The functionalized with diamine oxidase enzyme order enhance sensor's particular selectivity. proposed sensor demonstrated experimentally sensitivity 5.5 nm/mM detection limit 59.45 µM linear range 0-1000 µM. addition, probe's reusability, reproducibility, stability, selectivity tested; results these indices show high application potential detecting levels marine products.

Biogenic amines (BA) are molecules with biological functions, which can accumulate at toxic concentrations in foods. Several microorganisms have been identified as responsible for their accumulation elevated concentrations. Abstract Food waste plays a crucial role in environmental and human health issues. To address these issues, intelligent packaging systems are proposed for the accurate assessment of quality food products. Intelligent is technology that integrates sensing with conventional to provide smart communication functions real‐time monitoring. The most important parts this generally classified as quantitative sensors (sensors) qualitative (indicators). Since seafood meat products can spoil easily if not stored properly, applying monitoring safety beneficial. In review, spoiling process essential performance characteristics indicators first discussed. Then, importance various be used presented. While discussing topics, an updated review recent scientific studies, preconditions, materials, advantages, limitations provided. Furthermore, future need improvements Finally, several research examples challenges perspectives applications

Abstract Background Histamine (HIS) has a substantial impact on the development of numerous allergic disorders including asthma. Antihistamines mostly target histamine receptor-1 alone, so it is not entirely effective in treatment diseases. In current investigation, we examine growing evidence for novel therapeutic strategies that aim to treat histamine-mediated cardiopulmonary toxicity with phenolic-rich fraction green tea (PRFGT). Results Our findings demonstrated weekly ingestion HIS rats induced oxidant/antioxidant imbalance both lung and heart homogenates. The histopathological examination extensive interstitial pneumonia progressive alveolar bronchial damage receiving groups. Heart sections showed severe myocardial necrosis hemorrhage. All lesions were confirmed by immunohistochemical staining strong caspase-3, cyclooxygenase-2 (Cox-2), tumor factor-α (TNF-α) protein expressions along upregulation pulmonary m-RNA expression TNF-α, nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB), interleukin-1β (IL-1β) genes cardiac levels many apoptotic genes. Otherwise, pretreatment PRFGT had ability alleviate all aforementioned toxicological parameters return microscopic picture normal histology. Conclusions We concluded PRFGT’s powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic properties can reduce caused HIS. recommended daily intake as beverage or adding foods containing elevated prevent its possible toxicity.

Scombroid food poisoning (SFP) is a foodborne disease that develops after consumption of fresh fish and, rarely, seafood has fine organoleptic characteristics but contains large amount exogenous histamine.
