In today’s fast-paced business settings, the metaverse as a shared marketplace has gained popularity and is helping businesses to develop crucial strategies in their pursuit of sustainable performance. However, lack understanding knowledge about effectiveness its related technologies creates barrier. Therefore, current study fills this gap uses organizational information-processing theory theoretical framework examine metaverse-related (artificial intelligence blockchain technology—BCT) direct indirect effects on performance, which no other examined. Using purposive sampling, sample data from 326 SMEs were gathered analyzed using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). This study’s findings revealed that AI capabilities are vital for information gathering, analyzing, decision-making context. BCT facilitates ensuring transparent, visible, traceable, immutable supply chain, helps make it more resilient improves closed-loop chain (CLSC) system with positive technological advancements significant increasing performance (SBP). help organizations understand potential benefits AI-enabled SMEs’ presence metaverse. The investigation provides strategy managers gain competitive advantage, robust, enhance overall

This study comprises a systematic literature review that offers thorough analysis of the present state-of-the-art knowledge regarding adoption and application blockchain technology within context supply chain management. Based on an extensive 133 articles from highly-regarded journals, we developed framework where highlight integration transition to its application. process is explained by two theories: Technology Acceptance Model Diffusion Innovation Theory. In phase, identified nine internal drivers seven external drivers, together with comprehensive barriers. Our also integrates examines stage, focusing not only current development benefits implementation but challenges impede successful in The future prospects are highlighted which include standardization, platform development, regulation system cost reduction, talent cultivation. These developments were critical yet missing academic literature. By providing in-depth these challenges, our can assist practitioners making informed decisions about blockchain-enabled management initiatives.

This paper aims to explore how does the introduction of blockchain technologies impact trust in existing supply chain relationships. To do so, we conducted a multiple case study through lens agency theory. Three Swiss companies which are carrying out projects for their have been analyzed semi-structured interviews and document analysis. Two significant findings on principal-agent relationships stressed. Firstly, can reduce asymmetry information, increase control agents, consequently minimize principal towards agents. Secondly paradoxically, mechanisms inherent these decrease agent's principal. Thus, questioning is necessary, both as an antecedent unexpected consequence when adopting technologies. Finally, provide guidelines initiating adoption chains.

Purpose Firms are increasingly pressured to comply with mandatory supply chain transparency (SCT) regulations. Drawing on information processing theory (IPT), this study aims show how blockchain technology can address uncertainty and equivocality in assuring regulatory compliance an interorganizational network (ION). Design/methodology/approach IPT is applied a single case of ION the mining industry that aimed implement SCT The authors build rich proprietary data set consisting interviews substantial secondary material from actors along chain.
