Red swamp crayfish Procambarus clarkii is becoming an ecologically and economically important crustacean species in China. In present study, whether the macro-nutrients intake intervention during early life resulting long-term influences on nutritional use metabolism were evaluated view of concept programming effects. Juvenile underwent a 14 days high-carbohydrate (43%) low-protein (17%) stimulus, following 70 routine dietary feeding (carbohydrate 15%, protein 36%), until adulthood. Short- (14 days) (84 effects respectively terms growth performances, digestive enzymes activities, body compositions, intestinal microbiota (long-term only). Data showed that short term, it enhanced activities amylase lipase but reduced activity trypsase hepatopancreas. long decreased performances (SR WGR) modified diversity obviously (p < 0.05). Throughout period increased crude level. All results indicated events caused impacts nutrient thus affect physiology short, work provided evidences to support existence juvenile crayfish.

Many economic crustacean species have sex dimorphisms during their growth. Exploring the determination system and developing sex-specific molecular marker(s) are very helpful for carrying out control breeding, next-generation sequencing has been used as an efficient way to explore them in recent years. In this study, first, genetic of P. clarkii was explored XX/XY by analyzing 2b-RAD data. Furthermore, DNA samples male female individuals from a family were pooled separately whole-genome resequencing. Based on data resequencing, 9,163 male- female-specific bias sites with higher feasibility obtained based assumption system, four selected design marker primers. One identified discrimination rate 99.49% (195/196) when applied five different geographical groups 196 individuals. The results study would provide foundation realization could some reference investigating other

Abstract Ion channels gated selectively by mechanical stimulus are the key elements of mechanosensation. Several genes have been associated with putative mechanosensitive ion or channel complexes. Transmembrane (TMC)-like protein is one those candidate proteins that explored in mammals and several invertebrates. The presence possible function TMC related has not investigated yet crustaceans. In present work an mRNA coding TMC-like was firstly cloned Astacus leptodactylus (Eschscholtz, 1823) (Decapoda: Astacidea: Astacidae) expressed HEK293T cells. Three-dimensional structural calculations predicted a channel. Functional studies, however, indicated mechanosensitivity transfected cells similar to control It concluded crayfish but future studies necessary define its function.

Repetitive elements are a major component of DNA sequences due to their ability propagate through the genome. Characterization Metazoan repetitive profiles is picking up, however, current pipelines failing identify significant proportion divergent repeats in non-model organisms. The order Decapoda, for which repeat content analyses largely lacking, characterized by extremely variable genome sizes that suggest an important presence elements. Here we developed new standardized pipeline annotate organisms, applied on 20 Decapoda and 6 other crustacean genomes. With our tool 10% more than standard pipelines. were abundant species crustaceans, with incredibly large number highly repeated satDNA families. Moreover, demonstrated high correlation between assembly size transposable different dynamics Dendrobranchiata Reptantia. patterns reflect phylogenetic relationships distinct evolutionary trajectories within Crustacea. In summary, results highlight impact evolution value novel annotation pipeline, will provide baseline future comparative analyses.
