Ultrasensitive and accurate monitoring of carboxylesterase (CE) activity is extremely crucial for the early diagnosis hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), which still a considerable challenge. Herein, using co-reactive ligand engineering strategy, ultra-bright near-infrared (λmax = 830 nm) self-enhanced electrochemiluminescence (ECL) Au nanoclusters (NCs) were in situ prepared with 2-(diethylamino) ethanethiol (DEAET) as ligand. Remarkably, not only acts stabilizer like traditional ligands but also plays role co-reactant to ensure confinement effect shorten charge transfer distance increase local concentration, significantly improving collision efficiency between electrogenerated free radicals. Consequently, DEAET NCs exhibited record stable anodal ECL without addition an exogenous co-reactant, dramatically superior classical Ru(bpy)32+ certain amount co-reactant. As proof concept, convenient label-free CE biosensor was innovatively constructed 1-naphthyl acetate selective substrate, achieving ultrasensitive detection low limit 9.1 × 10–7 U/L. Therefore, this work paves strategy preparation high-efficiency metal provides platform HCC.

Gold nanoclusters (Au NCs) with excellent optical properties and biocompatibility have become one of the most promising electrochemiluminescence (ECL) emitters. However, low efficiency poor stability Au NCs restrict their applications in ECL. Herein, by supramolecular assembly L-arginine (Arg) 4-hydroxy-2-mercapto-6-methylpyrimidine (MTU) on surface NCs, Arg/MTU-Au enhanced ECL were prepared. Compared MTU-stabilized (MTU-Au NCs), increased 24.8 times. As a proof-of-concept, sensitive biosensing platform was constructed for detection hemoglobin (Hb) urine using as The proposed provides feasible strategy biomarkers has broad application prospects disease screening clinical marker detection.

Herein, the gold nanoclusters@three-dimensional (3D) porous ZrO2 hollow nanospheres (Au NCs@ZrO2) with spatial confinement-enhanced electrochemiluminescence (SCE-ECL) were first prepared to fabricate a biosensing platform for ultrasensitive detection of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), which was associated cardiovascular disease, malignant tumor, and neuropathic pain. Specifically, confinement Au NCs in 3D microenvironment significantly boosted optical radiation excited because vibration ligand molecules restricted, recombination holes electrons facilitated process enhancing ECL efficiency, resulting 5.1-fold stronger efficiency than NCs. As proof concept, based on NCs@ZrO2 as an emitter orderly localized catalytic hairpin self-assembly (OL-CHA) system signal amplifier, built achieved fast trace determination IGF-1 limit (LOD) down 0.36 fg/mL. Moreover, realized assessment expression acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients exhibited more prominent accuracy enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). This work proposed neoteric avenue developing highly efficient emitters, presented promising prospect bioanalysis early diagnosis diseases.

Accurate and rapid discrimination of multiple explosives with high precision is paramount importance for national security, ecological protection, human health yet remains a significant challenge conventional analytical techniques. Herein, we present an innovative deep learning-assisted artificial vision platform based on cyclodextrin-protected multicolor fluorescent gold nanoclusters (CD-AuNCs) four distinct emission wavelengths, enabling the highly accurate seven explosives. The sensor array leverages host-guest interactions between cyclodextrin ligands AuNCs' surface target explosives, generating unique fluorescence fingerprint patterns. Mechanistic studies reveal that enhancement CD-AuNCs attributed to ligand rigidification, while quenching primarily caused by photoinduced electron transfer responses are captured using smartphone, corresponding RGB values simultaneously extracted. To enhance recognition accuracy, dense convolutional network (DenseNet) algorithm advanced image capability integrated array. This achieves remarkable 100% accuracy at concentration 200 μM, precise visual classification proposed strategy not only provides powerful tool on-site explosive monitoring but also offers versatile intelligent detection diverse analytes, demonstrating potential real-world applications in environmental security monitoring.
