To address the grand challenges of valorizing agricultural biomass (AB) residues, processes such as extraction phytochemicals need to align with principles green chemistry and sustainability. In this regard, Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NaDESs) are being utilized extract value-added compounds from AB, thanks their biodegradability, cost-effectiveness, low toxicity. The objective research was valorize bell pepper AB residues (stalks leaves) through glycosylated flavonoids antioxidant activity. achieve this, 24 NaDESs were designed based on choline chloride (ChCl) various hydrogen bond donors, including carboxylic acids alcohols. capacities for total two model flavonoids, quercitrin (quercetin 3-O-rhamnoside) (Q3O-R) cynaroside (luteolin 7-O-glucoside) (L7O-G), systematically evaluated. Two crucial parameters, time (measured in seconds) ultrasonic amplitude Watts), optimized using a central composite rotatable design (CCRD). high content bioactive present demonstrated by ChCl/1,6-hexanediol 1:1 molar ratio 30 wt % water (10.31 ± 0.16 mg quercetin equivalent/g dry AB). pulse-assisted NaDES method outperformed results obtained conventional hydroethanolic extraction. Therefore, represent an efficient greener alternative organic solvents extracting compounds, natural antioxidants, resilient lignocellulosic residues.

The extraction of bioactive compounds pharmaceutical interest from natural sources has been significantly explored in recent decades. However, the techniques used were not very efficient terms time and energy consumption; additionally, solvents for harmful environment. To improve environmental impact extractions at same increase yields, several new developed. Among most ones are ultrasound-assisted microwave-assisted extraction. These increased yield selectivity a smaller amount with decrease consumption. Nevertheless, high volume organic was still extraction, causing subsequent problem. Neoteric appeared as green alternatives to solvents. neoteric solvents, deep eutectic evidenced be one best due their intrinsic characteristics. considered because they made up such sugars, amino acids, carboxylic acids having low toxicity degradability.
