Visible-light photoredox catalysis has been established as a popular and powerful tool for organic transformations owing to its inherent characterization of environmental friendliness sustainability in the past decades. The thiol-ene/yne reactions, direct hydrothiolation alkenes/alkynes with thiols, represents one most efficient atom-economic approaches carbon-sulfur bonds construction. In traditional methodologies, harsh conditions such stoichiometric reagents or specialized UV photo-apparatus were necessary suffering from various disadvantages. particular, visible-light also demonstrated be greener milder protocol reactions recent years. Additionally, unprecedented advancements have achieved this area during decade. review, we will summarize advances catalyzed 2015 2021. Synthetic strategies, substrate scope, proposed reaction pathways are mainly discussed.

Three types of novel radical cyclization 1,6-enynes with sulfonyl hydrazides have been presented, which provided convenient synthetic approaches for accessing five-membered cyclic lactams, lactams containing C–I bond, and six-membered lactams. Notably, these transformations are implemented in metal-catalyst-free systems, three classes important lactam derivatives were synthesized selectivity controllability from the same substrate using water as green solvent.

Abstract Nitrogen radicals are one of the most useful reactive intermediates for selective transposition via intramolecular hydrogen atom transfer (HAT). The Hofmann‐Löffler‐Freytag (HLF) reaction is a distinctive radical‐based approach in which nitrogen used remote C−H bond functionalization HAT. A photocatalyst-free and EDA complex-enabled radical cascade cyclization reaction of inactive alkenes with bromodifluoroacetamides was reported for the divergent synthesis fluorine-containing tetralones quinazolinones. In this transformation, persulfates as electron donors difluoro bromamide acceptors generate complex. This is a promising photochemical method advantages such mild conditions, simple operation, being metal-free, excellent functional group tolerance.
