Visible-light photoredox catalysis has been established as a popular and powerful tool for organic transformations owing to its inherent characterization of environmental friendliness sustainability in the past decades. The thiol-ene/yne reactions, direct hydrothiolation alkenes/alkynes with thiols, represents one most efficient atom-economic approaches carbon-sulfur bonds construction. Three types of novel radical cyclization 1,6-enynes with sulfonyl hydrazides have been presented, which provided convenient synthetic approaches for accessing five-membered cyclic lactams, lactams containing C–I bond, and six-membered lactams. Notably, these transformations are implemented in metal-catalyst-free systems, three classes important lactam derivatives were synthesized selectivity controllability from the same substrate using water as green solvent.

Abstract Nitrogen radicals are one of the most useful reactive intermediates for selective transposition via intramolecular hydrogen atom transfer (HAT). The Hofmann‐Löffler‐Freytag (HLF) reaction is a distinctive radical‐based approach in which nitrogen used remote C−H bond functionalization HAT. Due to its excellent regioselectivity and atomic economy, HLF represents new preparation valuable functional molecules. A photocatalyst-free and EDA complex-enabled radical cascade cyclization reaction of inactive alkenes with bromodifluoroacetamides was reported for the divergent synthesis fluorine-containing tetralones quinazolinones.
