Abstract
Cathepsin
S
(CatS)
is
a
lysosomal
enzyme
belonging
to
the
papain
family
of
cysteine
proteases.
Studies
have
demonstrated
that
CatS
plays
pivotal
role
in
antigen
presentation
and
associated
with
Alzheimer's
disease,
atherosclerosis,
obesity,
positioning
it
as
potential
target
related
disorders.
Consequently,
development
selective
straightforward
method
for
detecting
crucial.
In
this
study,
we
introduce
colorimetric
approach
utilizing
gold
nanoparticles
(AuNPs)
CatS‐specific
peptides
detection
activity.
The
cleavage
peptides,
PMGAPC
or
PMGAPC‐NH

can
stabilize
AuNPs

solution
without
aggregation.

Gold
nanoparticles
(AuNPs)
