Palladium
(Pd),
a
rare
and
precious
metal,
is
highly
valued
due
to
its
non-renewable
nature
significant
cost.
Therefore,
recovering
palladium
from
industrial
wastewater
of
great
importance
but
remains
challenge.
Herein,
composite
aerogel
adsorbent
has
been
developed
by
linking
bipyridine
covalent
organic
framework,
termed
TpBpy,
with
chitosan
(CS)
through
robust
bonds.
The
resulting
TpBpy/CS
employed
for
the
selective
separation
recovery
at
low
concentrations
in
real
wastewater.
Experimental
results
reveal
that
maximum
adsorption
capacity
Pd(ii)
274.4
mg
g-1
pH
1.
Additionally,
even
presence
other
coexisting
ions
100
times
higher
than
Pd(ii),
efficiency
above
99%.
Mechanistic
investigations
indicate
aerogels
primarily
occurs
coordination
between
pyridine
N
as
well
electrostatic
interaction
protonated
amino
groups
Pd(ii).
Moreover,
demonstrates
exceptional
reusability,
maintaining
an
99%
after
nine
adsorption-desorption
cycles.
Overall,
promising
monolithic
efficient
acidic
selectivity,
demonstrating
substantial
potential
practical
applications.

Abstract
Achieving
a
wide‐range
color‐tunable
and
dynamically
long‐afterglow
emission
in
single‐doped
system
remains
challenge.
In
this
study,
unique
host‐guest
doped
material,
TPA‐PTPQ/TPA,
exhibits
dual‐delay
at
516
605
nm,
both
with
long
lifetimes
of
up
to
108
145
ms,
which
derives
from
thermally
activated
delayed
fluorescence
(TADF)
room
temperature
phosphorescence
(RTP)
mechanisms,
respectively.
Notably,
material
demonstrates
temperature‐dependent
reversible
afterglow
characteristic,
transitioning
green,
orange,
red
substantial
spectra
shift
≈90
nm
under
different
conditions.
This
phenomenon
is
due
the
diverse
effect
on
TADF
RTP
emissions.
These
remarkable
luminescence
properties
are
successfully
applied
security
checks
anti‐counterfeiting
encryption.
