Here, Cu-TCPP MOF nanodots (denoted as CTMDs) were fabricated; they could functionally and structurally mimic the antioxidant superoxide diamutase (SOD) for alleviating endotoxemia with ability of renal enrichment clearance. CTMDs featured a biomimetic size, similar Cu active site coordination environment to that natural SOD ordered channels substrate exhibited highest SOD-like activity among other nanozymes. Together GPx-like activity, bio-inspired protect cell components in vitro well reduce systemic inflammation mortality an model vivo.

Inorganic nanoparticles as a versatile nanoplatform have been broadly applied in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers due to their inherent superior physicochemical properties (including magnetic, thermal, optical, catalytic performance) excellent functions (e.g., imaging, targeted delivery, controlled release drugs) through surface functional modification or ingredient dopant. However, practical biological applications, inorganic nanomaterials are relatively difficult degrade excrete, which induces long residence time living organisms thus may cause adverse effects, such inflammation tissue cysts. Therefore, development biodegradable is great significance for biomedical application. This Review will focus on recent advances degradable cancer theranostics with highlight degradation mechanism, aiming offer an in-depth understanding behavior related applications. Finally, key challenges guidelines be discussed explore minimized toxicity issues, facilitating potential clinical translation treatment.

Abstract Despite its 5‐year event‐free survival rate increasing to 60–65% due surgery and chemotherapy, osteosarcoma (OS) remains one of the most threatening malignant human tumors, especially in young patients. Therefore, a new approach that combines early diagnosis with efficient tumor eradication bioimaging is urgently needed. Here, type mesoporous silica–coated bismuth sulfide nanoparticles (Bi 2 S 3 @MSN NPs) developed. The well distributed pores large surface areas hold great promise for drug protection encapsulation (doxorubicin (DOX), 99.85%). Moreover, high photothermal efficiency Bi @MSNs (36.62%) offers possibility cancer synergistic treatment highly near‐infrared‐triggered release (even at an ultralow power density 0.3 W cm −2 ). After covalently conjugated arginine‐glycine‐aspartic acid (RGD) peptide [c(RGDyC)], NPs exhibit specificity finally accumulate cells (tenfold more than peritumoral tissues) computed tomography (CT) imaging ablation. Importantly, therapy–chemotherapy RGD–Bi @MSN/DOX significantly ablates OS. It further proved superior combined killing effect achieved by activating mitochondrial apoptosis pathway. Hence, smart theranostic platform promising candidate future applications CT monitoring tumors.
