Multidrug-resistant bacteria are among the most challenges in healthcare systems. According to World Health Organization, these that belong critical and high-priority groups resistant carbapenem or multiple antibiotics, respectively. They commonly associated with bone, skin, soft tissue infections, current treatment strategies involve use of oral intravenous antibiotics. Consequently, infected injured sites benefit from combined antimicrobial regenerative action during tissues' repair. The high demand for effective solutions led development biocompatible antibacterial polymeric membranes local therapy. These highly porous composed by nanofibers' network providing a matrix cellular proliferation release agents. Nowadays, there several techniques produce nanofibers like template synthesis, self-assembly, freeze-drying, melt-blowing, electrospinning, others. Electrospinning emerges production intrinsic characteristics. surface area-to-volume ratio nanometric diameters allow mimicking innate tissues increasing biomedical fields' attention. Therefore, electrospun become favoured as drug delivery systems, improving drugs' dissolution rates while maximizing their action. Additionally, they permits loading drugs higher concentrations control rate without toxicity. Hence, antibiotics have been common encapsulated medicinal compounds using numerous polymers combinations carriers. versatility electrospinning advanced approaches which combine complex locally provide agents through same platform consider different profiles. Aims: In diabetic patients, wound healing is impaired and wounds are often infected with multifactorial agents. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of St. John’s wort ointment containing bacitracin-neomycin (thiocilline) improve in a model. Methods: Rats which diabetes was induced by administering 60 mg/kg streptozotocin (STZ) were considered if their blood sugar levels above 300 mg/dl 72 hours later. Group 1: Control (Non diabetic) group, 2: Diabetes group. During care, both groups disinfected povidone iodine (PI) right lumbar region each rat dressed thiocilline left oil. Considering period, terminated after an average 20 days. histopathological examination, ulceration, necrosis, epithelialization, congestion, edema, polymorphous nucleated leukocyte (PNL), monocyte, fibroblast, neovascularization evaluated. Results: evaluation, there statistically significant decrease ulceration necrosis group treated oil compared given (p=0.04). terms increase (p=0.03). There congestion edema fibroblast (p=0.02). Conclusion: Histopathologic ally, neovascularization, have important functions process, increased rats administered wort. Although it used traditional medicine due its antidepressant effectiveness, we believe that can be develop as has potential process.
