The deterioration of carbon steel in saline solutions enriched with dioxide represents a significant challenge within the oil and gas industry. So, this study focuses on design structural analysis four azo derivatives: 4-(2-quinolinylazo)-catechol (AZN-1), 4-(4-phenoxyphenylazo)-1-naphthol (AZN-2), 4-(4-pyridylazo)-1-naphthol (AZN-3), 4-(2-pyridylazo)-1-naphthol (AZN-4), their first application as effective corrosion inhibitors for saturated 3.5% sodium chloride solution. Spectroscopic methods were used to characterize configurations these compounds. protection properties compounds solution (under sweet conditions) investigated using Tafel polarization (PDP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) studies. results indicate that inhibition efficiency increases concentration increases. There is notable agreement between obtained from PDP EIS measurements, supporting findings. Moreover, displayed had capabilities at low concentrations, ranging 91.0 98.3% an additive 5 × 10–4 M. profiles showed acted mixed inhibitors, adsorption behavior followed Langmuir isotherm model. Besides, corroborate AZN through reduction double-layer capacitance (Cdl) alongside augmentation resistance (Rp) after addition into corrosive Field emission scanning Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) confirmed formation protective layer surface when applied.
