Bacterial translocation is a pathological process involving migration of pathogenic bacteria across the intestinal barrier to enter systemic circulation and gain access distant organs. This phenomenon has been linked diverse range diseases including inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, cancer. The an innate structure that maintains homeostasis. Pathogenic infections dysbiosis can disrupt integrity barrier, increasing its permeability, thereby facilitating pathogen translocation. As represents essential step in pathogenesis, clear understanding how disrupted this disruption facilitates bacterial could identify new routes effective prophylaxis therapy. In comprehensive review, we provide in-depth analysis function. We discuss currently understood mechanisms bacterial-enterocyte interactions, with focus on tight junctions endocytosis. also emerging concept bidirectional communication between microbiota other body systems. tract established 'axes' various Among our regulatory systems, nervous, immune, endocrine systems have shown play pivotal roles regulation. A mechanistic regulation crucial for development personalized management strategies patients translocation-related disorders. Advancing knowledge will pave way future research field novel clinical intervention strategies.

Depression and anxiety are severe public health problems have attracted more attention from researchers of food science nutrition. Dietary natural products nutrients, such as fish, coffee, tea, n-3 PUFA, lycopene, dietary fiber, could play a vital role in the prevention management these diseases. The potential mechanisms action mainly include inhibiting inflammation, ameliorating oxidative stress, modulating microbiota–gut–brain axis, suppressing hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis hyperactivity, regulating levels monoamine neurotransmitters. In this narrative review, we summarize most recent advancements regarding effects nutrients on depression anxiety, their underlying discussed. We hope that paper can provide better understanding anti-depressive anxiolytic products, it is also helpful for developing functional food, supplements, or auxiliary agents

Cognitive, mood and sleep disorders are common intractable of the central nervous system, causing great inconvenience to lives those affected. The gut–brain axis plays a vital role in studying neurological such as neurodegenerative diseases by acting channel for bidirectional information exchange between gut microbiota system. Dietary polyphenols have received widespread attention because their excellent biological activity wide range sources, structural diversity low toxicity. intervention through increased intake dietary is an emerging strategy improving circadian rhythms treating metabolic disorders. been shown play essential regulating intestinal flora, mainly maintaining balance flora enhancing host immunity, thereby suppressing pathologies. Cryptotanshinone (CPT), a bioactive compound derived from the traditional Chinese herb Salvia miltiorrhiza, exhibits promising antidepressant properties. Employing rat model subjected to Chronic Unpredictable Mild Stress (CUMS), behavioral analyses (open field experiment, elevated cross maze sugar water preference forced swimming experiment) and inflammatory factor assessments were conducted assess efficacy of CPT in alleviating depressive symptoms responses induced by CUMS. Moreover, 16 S rDNA analysis revealed alterations gut microbiota rats exposed both CUMS administration. Notably, administration was found mitigate harmful bacterial shifts associated with depression. Preliminary exploration molecular mechanism underlying CPT's effects via transcriptomics docking indicated that might exert its influence regulating PI3K-AKT pathway. This study sheds light on potential therapeutic role managing disorders, offering comprehensive understanding impact behavior, inflammation, microbiota, pathways.

The imbalance of intestinal microbiota can cause the accumulation endotoxin in main circulation system human body, which has a great impact on health. Increased work and life pressure have led to rise number people falling into depression, also reduced their quality life. gut–brain axis (GBA) is closely related pathological basis improve depressive symptoms through GBA. Previous studies proven that prebiotics modulate thus participate health regulation. We reviewed regulatory mechanism depression GBA, discussed effects prebiotics, including plant polysaccharides polyphenols regulation microbiota, providing new clues for prevention treatment depression.
