Polysaccharide from Polygonatum sibiricum (PSP) possesses antioxidant, antiaging, and neuroprotective activities. However, whether how the steaming process influences biological activities of PSP, especially against aging-related memory impairment, is not yet known. In this study, rhizome was subjected to a "nine nine drying" process, then PSPs with different times were abstracted. Thereafter, physicochemical properties qualified; antioxidant evaluated in D-gal-induced HT-22 cell model, effects (PSP0, PSP5 PSP9) on using D-gal-injured mice. Our results showed that while steamed had low pH value large negative charge, they shared similar main chains substituents. Cellular experiments activity increased. PSP0, PSP5, PSP9 could significantly ameliorate impairment mice, showing optimal effect. Meanwhile, demonstrated best effect terms preventing death synaptic injury Additionally, increased anti-oxidative stress-related protein expression decreased inflammation-related Collectively, improves likely by increasing PSPs.

For centuries, humans have used mushrooms as both food and pro-health supplements. Mushrooms, especially those related to the functions of human immune system, are rich in dietary fiber, minerals, essential amino acids, various bioactive compounds significant health-promoting properties. Immunoregulatory include lectins, terpenes, terpenoids, polysaccharides, fungal immunomodulatory proteins (FIPs). The distribution these varies from one species mushroom another, their activities depend on core structures chemical modifications composition fractions. In this review, we describe active medical mushrooms. Abstract Background Natural products are an important source of drugs or lead compounds for the treatment senescence. The buds Wikstroemia chamaedaphne Meisn a traditional Chinese medicine to cure edema, schizophrenia and epilepsy. A flavonoid extract W. (FEW) was prepared from methanolic by our group previously, which including eight flavonoids with content (55.19 ± 0.32) %. In this study, anti-senescence effects related mechanisms FEW on D-galactose-induced PC12 cells were investigated first time. Results High doses D-galactose could induce cell senescence, whereas delay senescence decreasing SA-β-gal positivity, increasing SOD activity, reducing MDA levels, improving morphology, inhibiting cycle arrest down-regulating expression senescence-related proteins P16, P21 P53. Subsequently, potential underlying elucidated through integration network pharmacology transcriptomics. main signaling pathways involved found be cancer pathway, FOXO PI3k–Akt AGE–RAGE protein digestion uptake, etc. may pathway as revealed western blot experiments. Conclusion Our study that has effects. This suggest acts agent age-related neurological diseases.
