Ternary composites comprised of graphene oxide (GO), ZIF-8, and HKUST-1 with varying amounts GO were successfully synthesized via the solvothermal method. Based on photoluminescence characterization, GO/ZIF-8/HKUST-1 composite presents a more efficient charge carrier separation transfer compared to pristine ZIF-8. As result, electron-hole recombination was hindered due presence as an electron mediator in heterojunction. The dark adsorption kinetics data for removal congo red (CR) dye fit well pseudo-second order model. photocatalytic degradation performance investigated by means degrading CR under UV-LED irradiation. photodegradation efficiency GO(10)/ZIF-8/HKUST-1 91.81% within 60 minutes trapping experiments showed that hydroxyl superoxide radicals are main reactive species. results this study indicate ternary MOFs photocatalysts have great potential pollutants aquatic environments.

A series of bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) photocatalysts had been successfully synthesized by doping nickel (Ni) into zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) for enhanced photodegradation methylene blue (MB). Optical characterization revealed that the Ni-ZIF-8 composites possessed a narrower bandgap and lower recombination rate charge carriers than pristine ZIF-8. The Ni(20)-ZIF-8 composite showed highest MB efficiency up to 93.22 % in 150 min, with use 30 mg photocatalyst, 50 mL mg/L solution, neutral pH. scavenger test clearly proved h+ •OH were main active species.

Sugar cane bagasse (SB) was modified with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), followed by impregnation zinc oxide (ZnO) to create a synergistic adsorption and photocatalytic system for methyl orange (MO) methylene blue (MB) removal. The presence of CTAB ZnO confirmed X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, energy dispersive (for Zn O). Modification SB (CSB) generated more positive sites on the surface SB, which enhanced MO removal compared that pristine SB. induces decrease in due CSB surface, might reduce CSB. In addition, can interact Zn2+ O2– form lead contrast, facilitated good MB CSB, indicating process plays greater role removing MB. However, addition H2O2 improve under irradiation formation external •OH. performance also observed be favored acidic alkaline conditions, respectively.
