Abstract In this study, we employ mechanochemistry as an innovative strategy, using a Planetary Mill, to obtain supramolecular structures in the solid state between Curcumin (Cur) and β‐cyclodextrin (βCD), exploring different parameters such jars balls material (stainless steel versus zirconium oxide), milling time, well effect on imposing Cur:βCD molar ratios. Our findings demonstrate that regardless of used, same interactions Cur βCD seem be promoted. However, depending ratio, modes are produced resulting inclusion complexes (ICs) or non‐inclusion (non‐ICs) by partial total amorphization both βCD. Independently type complex obtained (ICs/or non‐ICs), high content was quantified all systems, achieving up 342 mg per mmol βCD, along with enhancement aqueous solubility. The 1 : 2 showed highest solubility (around 10‐times more soluble than milled Cur). our conditions, optimum time form 60 min. stability directly related extent encapsulation inside cavity.

Quinine, a natural alkaloid discovered several centuries ago, has been widely used as an anti-malarial drug and bitter food additive. However, overconsumption would result in quinine poisoning. Herein, we presented simple, reusable, cost-effective electrochemical sensor for detection, utilizing indicator displacement assay (IDA) with β-cyclodextrin/poly(N-acetylaniline)/graphene-modified glassy carbon (GC) electrode. Graphene was deposited onto the electrode surface through cyclic voltammetry (CV) electroreduction to enhance electron transfer properties. The poly(N-acetylaniline) film introduced inhibit non-special absorption of methylene blue (MB). β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) molecules were modified on using chronoamperometry provide binding site MB(probe)/quinine(target). Through competitive host-guest interaction, displaced MB molecule from β-CD cavity. We employed differential pulse (DPV), (CV), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), scanning microscopy (SEM), impedance analysis (EIS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) verify successful construction sensor. also displayed superior selectivity over common interfering molecules, satisfactory reusability upon reincubation solution, good reproducibility consistent fabrication method, high stability acceptable peak current decrease within 21 days. To our knowledge, this is first time integrate recognition determination. In light IDA design strategy, anticipate that work will inspire innovative engineering methods detection fields clinical analysis, safety, environmental monitoring.
