Abstract As a visible light‐responsive metal‐free polymer semiconductor, graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C 3 N 4 ) has garnered increasing attention in photocatalysis but needs structural modification and functional enhancement. Recently, the rational design of ionic microenvironments (IMEs) by leveraging tunability various ions to endow catalysts with tailored functionalities been elevated hot direction. To elucidate their respective effects on g‐C , IMEs are categorized into three types, namely plasma IMEs, organic inorganic according criteria external field dependence, cation type, application scenarios. Astaxanthin is an antioxidant with extremely high activity. However, the stability and solubility of free astaxanthin are poor. Therefore, we prepared astaxanthin-betaine (ASTA-Bet) ionic liquid liposomes through a combination theoretical calculations experimental research studied their physicochemical properties biological effects. This liposome has good skin permeability. The cumulative permeability ASTA-Bet 22.95 times that 2.41 liquid. particle size was 117.2 nm, did not change significantly after 28 days storage, indicating stability. The bactericidal potency of ionic liquids (ILs) is well-established, yet their precise mechanism action remains elusive. Here, we show evidence that the ILs primarily involves permeabilization bacterial cell membrane. Our findings reveal exert effects by directly interacting with lipid bilayer and enhancing membrane dynamics. Lateral diffusion accelerated, which in turn augments permeability, ultimately leading to death. Furthermore, our results establish a significant connection: an increase alkyl chain length correlates notable enhancement both lateral antimicrobial potency. This underscores compelling correlation between dynamics effectiveness, providing valuable insights for rational design optimization IL-based agents healthcare applications.
