Abstract
The
modification
of
cigarette
filters
with
nanozymes
has
gradually
emerged
as
a
promising
strategy
for
reducing
the
harmful
effects
smoking
by
eliminating
excessive
free
radicals
and
remediating
oxidative
stress‐induced
pulmonary
injury.
However,
currently,
available
nanozymes‐integrated
usually
ignore
safety
concerns
fail
to
address
pungent
odor
smoke,
making
it
challenging
develop
an
individual
system
high
effectiveness
while
considering
these
important
factors.
Herein,
novel
smoke
purifier
(CDs/ME@MOF)
is
developed
alternatively
introducing
carbon
dots
excellent
scavenging
activity
Menthone
masking
miscellaneous
gas
into
biocompatible
γ‐cyclodextrin‐based
metal–organic
framework.
CDs/ME@MOF
can
act
profitable
additive
incorporated
achieve
over
90%
efficiency
reduce
irritation.
In
mice
model,
composites
demonstrated
significant
inflammation
suppression,
antioxidant
levels
promotion,
notable
lung
tissues
protection
effect
through
elimination
radicals.
This
work
highlights
potential
safe,
environmentally
friendly,
multipurpose
modifying
filter.

γ-cyclodextrin
(γ-CD)
metal–organic
frameworks
(CD-MOF-1)
consist
of
γ-CD
and
potassium
(K+)
ions
through
coordinating
an
eight-coordinated
K+
ion
with
two
C5-linked
oxygen
C6-linked
hydroxyl
(C5–O/C6–OH)
groups
in
the
primary
faces
adjacent
units
C2-
C3-linked
(C2–OH/C3–OH)
secondary
faces.
Herein,
we
found
polysaccharide
gels
only
C2–OH/C3–OH
or
C5–O/C6–OH
pyranoid
rings
can
form
four-coordinated
then
coordinate
a
KOH
solution
for
CD-MOF-1
growth.
Exposure
is
important
to
active
ions.
Mechanism
supporting
this
work
that
sites
are
first
formed
after
pectin
units.
Alternatively,
chitosan
growing
on
proposed
also
universally
applicable
other
similar
such
as
alginate
gel.
Based
mechanism,
developed
gel-based
composites
exemplified
applications
them
antibacterial
organic
dye
removal.
To
help
future
research
share
our
theoretical
assumption
further
investigations
any
matrices
ortho-hydroxyl
carbon
chain
ether
structures
may
mechanism
will
broaden
development
novel
various
fields.
