Abstract The electrooxidation of urea holds great potential for converting from wastewater into hydrogen, contributing to environmental protection and sustainable energy production. This necessitates the development highly efficient stable catalysts oxidation reaction (UOR). In this study, a NiCoCr‐LDH/NF (nickel‐cobalt‐chromium layered double hydroxide/nickel foam) electrode is successfully synthesized via simple hydrothermal method, demonstrating excellent electrocatalytic performance with low work 1.38 V at high current density 100 mA cm −2 . situ, Raman spectra analysis revealed that incorporation chromium (Cr) facilitated generation active γ‐NiOOH species catalyst reconstruction. Density functional theory (DFT) simulations confirmed lower formation due weakened interaction O─H bonds because narrow range hybridization between O‐2p z orbitals H‐1s orbitals. introduction Cr also improved adsorption molecules its intermediates, thereby enhancing overall activity UOR. With performance, unique electronic states, coordination structures, showcases practical applications in field catalysis.

Abstract Electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution and (S 2− ) recycling present promising strategies for cost‐effective production simultaneous removal of environmental pollutants. However, the advancement this technology is hindered by limited availability affordable, efficient, stable catalysts. Herein, study synthesizes ultrafine ruthenium (Ru) nanoclusters on a substrate iron molybdenum sulfide (FeMo‐S) nanosheets, creating new heterointerface catalyst (FeMo‐S/Ru) reaction (HER) sulfion oxidation (SOR). Experimental theoretical calculations suggest that strong electron interactions between Ru FeMo‐S substrate, optimizing *H adsorption promoting HER activity one side while facilitating sulfur intermediates other side, effectively catalyzing SOR. Additionally, assembled electrocatalytic coupling system with FeMo‐S/Ru displays an ultralow cell voltage 0.57 V at 100 mA cm −2 , achieving high Faradaic efficiencies (>96%) H 2 production, also exhibiting remarkable durability over 1 month (838 h). This work paves way development highly efficient durable supported catalysts, enabling energy‐saving environmentally friendly recycling.

Abstract Single‐component electrocatalysts generally lead to unbalanced adsorption of OH − and urea during oxidation reaction (UOR), thus obtaining low activity selectivity especially when oxygen evolution (OER) competes at high potentials (>1.5 V). Herein, a cross‐alignment strategy in situ vertically growing Ni(OH) 2 nanosheets on 2D semiconductor g‐C 3 N 4 is reported form hetero‐structured electrocatalyst. Various spectroscopy measurements including experiments indicate the existence enhanced internal electric field interfaces vertical nanosheets, favorable for balancing intermediates. This heterojunction electrocatalyst shows high‐selectivity UOR compared pure , even V) large current density. The computational results show could steer increase urea, efficiently avoiding poisoning strongly adsorbed active sites. A membrane electrode assembly (MEA)‐based electrolyzer with anode operate an industrial‐level density 200 mA cm −2 . work paves avenue designing high‐performance by cross‐alignments components.
