The
performance
of
electrodeposited
coatings
is
usually
very
dependent
on
the
operating
conditions.
Current
density
can
have
a
major
effect
appearance
electrodeposits,
their
physical/mechanical
properties
and
corrosion
resistance.
In
present
study,
HAp-Nb2O5
composite
layers
were
NiTi
from
stirred,
aqueous
electrolytes,
containing
1
g
dm−3
suspended
Nb2O5
particles
at
current
10,
15
or
20
mA
cm−2.
morphology,
topography,
elemental
composition
surface
determined
using
FESEM,
AFM,
EDS,
respectively.
A
higher
enhanced
content
co-deposited
but
risked
formation
particle
aggregation.
Microhardness
corrosion,
carried
out
by
Vickers
microhardness
potentiodynamic
polarization
techniques,
illustrated
that
films
electroplated
cm−2
showed
highest
resistance
least
Ni2+
ion
leaching.
results
may
aid
development
high-performance
in
orthopaedic
applications..
