The rising predominance of type 2 diabetes, combined with the poor medical effects seen commercially available anti-diabetic medications, has motivated development innovative treatment approaches for regulating postprandial glucose levels. Natural carbohydrate digestion enzyme inhibitors might be a viable option blocking dietary absorption fewer side than manufactured medicines. Alpha-amylase is metalloenzyme that facilitates by breaking down polysaccharides into smaller molecules such as maltose and maltotriose. It also contributes to elevated blood levels hyperglycemia. As result, scientists are being urged target α-amylase create can slow release from chains prolong its absorption, thereby resulting in lower plasma derived plants have gained popularity safe cost-effective alternatives. bioactive components responsible inhibitory actions various plant extracts been identified through phytochemical research, paving way further application. majority findings, however, based on vitro investigations. Only few animal experiments very human investigations confirmed these findings. Despite some promising results, additional investigation needed develop feasible drugs plant-derived pancreatic inhibitors. This review summarizes most recent findings research inhibitors, including compounds. This investigation involved the extraction of a novel polysaccharide from spore fermentation broth Tremella fuciformis using method that combined ultrasonic and enzymatic assistance with ethanol precipitation. It was then compared methods. The objective this research is to offer reference point for expanding application ultrasonic-assisted technology in T. polysaccharides (TFPs). Based on single-factor experiments, Box-Behnken used optimize conditions TFPs by ultrasonic-enzymatic-assisted precipitation extraction. results revealed an optimal combination enzymes, cellulase-to-papain ratio 2:1, enzyme addition 4000U/100 mL, enzymolysis temperature 49 °C, ultrasonicpower at 3 W/mL ultrasonictime 20 min. rate α- amylase inhibition rates were 23.94 % 61.44 %, respectively. Comparing physicochemical properties, structural characterization vitro activity extracted through different methods, showed treatment significantly influences apparent morphology could enhance its biological activity. However, techniques exhibit insubstantial impact chemical composition, glycosidic bonds or ring configurations within polysaccharides. Among them, has highest lowest viscosity. significant effects ABTS+ scavenging activity, glucose dialysis retardation index, treated ultrasonic-enzymatic best performance. These findings suggest can activities TFPs, thereby providing valuable insight their future development application.

This study aimed to optimize the ultrasonic/microwave-assisted extraction (UAME) technique of Elaeagnus angustifolia polysaccharides (EAP-UM) by response surface methodology (RSM). The optimum conditions include: solid-liquid ratio 1:23 g/mL, ultrasonic power 252 W, microwave 417 and time 11 min. Under these conditions, yield reached 7.87%, superior ultrasound-assisted (UAE, 5.74%), microwave-assisted (MAE, 6.86%), hot water (HWE, 4.91%). UAME could also result in higher carbohydrate, protein, uronic acid contents compared other methods. properties EAP-UM were further analyzed infrared spectra (IR) scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Moreover, exhibited a remarkable free radical scavenging ability (DPPH, IC50, 79 µg/mL) reduced power. showed α-amylase inhibiting activity (IC50, 2.826 mg/mL). has advantage high rate short time, obtained polysaccharide had better properties. These findings may serve as reference for development application E. angustifolia.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between postprandial glycemic levels based on flashmonitoring and production intestinal hydrogen (H2) methane (CH4) gases measurement amount these in exhaled air. Materials Methods: We studied 14 subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) individuals without (control) two food load tests, including types dietary fiber (inulin guar gum), simultaneous determination air assessment glucose levels. Results: All control group had a significant increase H2. OR for increased patients T2DM 0.17 (95% CI 0.031-0.93, p = 0.043). level H2 breath after lower than normoglycemic subjects. There an inverse correlation maximum rise (r -0.569, 0.034). Patients direct correlations CH4 parameters glycemia lactulose test (p < 0.05). Conclusions: confirmation causal decreased production, more severe may identify new therapeutic targets correction T2DM.
