AbstractFenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) is a pharmaceutically significant aromatic crop with health benefits linked to its phytochemicals. This article aims overview progress in using emerging technologies extract bioactive compounds and extraction mechanisms. During growth, plants produce bioactive compounds—secondary metabolites. Their concentration can be stimulated by the presence of a stressful factor—an elicitor. Since chlorine dioxide is commonly used in water to disinfect drinking water, its application as plant elicitor seems very attractive. The aim this work was investigate influence new elicitor, ClO2, on quality seeds and compounds sprouts.
