Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is a major pathogen that causes significant economic losses in the global poultry industry. Current vaccination strategies provide only partial protection, highlighting need for more effective prevention and treatment methods. This study aimed to develop novel compound throat anti-viral (CTA) from natural plants using data Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance System identification through liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. CTA demonstrated substantial anti-IBV effects both vitro vivo studies. In vitro, significantly inhibited IBV multiplication alleviated pathological lesions chicken embryonic kidney cells, tracheal rings, embryos. vivo, seven-day with obtained much milder clinical signs, enhanced growth performance, better immune organ indices infected chickens. Additionally, reduced levels trachea lungs increased specific antibody titers. also maintained body homeostasis, exhibiting strong antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties mitigated respiratory tract damage. Metabolomics network pharmacology analyses, revealed CTA's antiviral are mediated FoxO signaling pathway. successfully developed an prescription database based on validated efficacy of comprehensive experiments. The findings elucidated mechanisms action, particularly pathway, highlighted its potential application as

Abstract Network pharmacology plays a pivotal role in systems biology, bridging the gap between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory and contemporary pharmacological research. enables researchers to construct multilayered networks that systematically elucidate TCM’s multi-component, multi-target mechanisms of action. This review summarizes key databases commonly used network pharmacology, including those focused on herbs, components, diseases, dedicated platforms for analysis. Additionally, we explore growing use TCM, citing literature from Web Science, PubMed, CNKI over past two decades with keywords like “network pharmacology”, “TCM “herb pharmacology”. The application TCM is widespread, covering areas such as identifying material basis efficacy, unraveling action, evaluating toxicity, safety, novel drug development. However, challenges remain, lack standardized data collection across insufficient consideration processed herbs Questions also persist regarding reliability study outcomes. aims offer valuable insights reference points guide future research precision pharmacology.

The present study aimed to investigate the cardioprotective effects of acteoside (AC) on myocardial ischemia‑reperfusion injury (MIRI). To meet this aim, a network pharmacological analysis was conducted search for key genes and signaling pathways associated with AC MIRI. infarct size rat heart evaluated using 2,3,5‑triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining, serum levels creatine kinase MB isoenzyme, cardiac troponin I, malondialdehyde superoxide dismutase were subsequently detected in an vivo experiment. inhibitory effect oxidative stress further confirmed by assessing intracellular accumulation reactive oxygen species (ROS). Hematoxylin eosin staining carried out observe histopathological damage. anti‑apoptotic determined terminal deoxynucleotidyl‑transferase‑mediated dUTP nick end labeling assay Hoechst 33342 expression apoptosis‑associated proteins tissue assessed immunohistochemical analysis. In addition, cell viability Cell Counting Kit‑8 assay, target MIRI western blot results suggested that pretreatment could mitigate MIRI‑induced damage, apoptosis. elevated Bcl‑2 levels, reduced caspase‑3 Bax tissue. vitro, both led increased rate survival alleviated stress, as demonstrated decreased level ROS accumulation. Moreover, guided analysis, heat‑shock protein 90AA1 (HSP90AA1) phosphoinositide 3‑kinase (PI3K)/serine‑threonine (Akt) pathway emerged targets action against Furthermore, showed significant increase activity PI3K/Akt pathway, addition glycogen synthase kinase‑3β HSP90AA1. Taken together, findings revealed may exert through suppressing apoptosis regulating proteins.
