A wealth of data is available from electronic health records (EHR) that are collected as part routine clinical care in hospitals worldwide. These rich, longitudinal offer an attractive object study for the field circadian medicine, which aims to translate knowledge rhythms improve patient health. This narrative review discuss opportunities EHR studies highlight methodological challenges, and provide recommendations using these advance field. Abstract Objectives Chronobiology is the science that studies biological rhythms based on direct methods and empirical time series of individual subjects. Methods Retrospective (24 months, 2022–2023) were extracted for four measurands (sodium, potassium, chloride leukocytes) from emergency laboratory.
