This study was aimed to evaluate the knowledge and perception of oral hygiene instructions periodontal health education (OHIPE) among dental undergraduates Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) after modification OHIPE protocol. cross-sectional carried out 134 clinical year students UiTM. The data collected by distributing a self-administered structured questionnaire participants. divided into two different sections in order assess independently. 5-point Likert Scale used perception. Data analysis done via SPSS version 27.0. Results: There 51.3% (n=40) 5 obtained good score compared only 21.4%(n=12) 4 students. remaining 48.7%(n=38) 71.4%(n=40) recorded average (P <0.001). Students’ regarding showed that response on each six questions were almost similar. However, there statistically significant differences between groups giving information about patient’s status advice cleaning interdental areas teeth = 0.01 – 0.031). Most agreed usage own chart radiograph is important useful during OHIPE. Conclusion: Periodontal care for years are good. awareness lower than which could be due reduced sessions pandemic Covid-19. Perception similar all participants as they have more experience managing patients.

Abstract Background The oral health of many older Australians is poor and associated with systemic problems. However, nurses often have a limited understanding the importance healthcare for people. This systematic review assessed the evidence for oral health literacy levels (i.e., knowledge, attitudes, barriers, care and practices, trainings resources) of nursing professionals effectiveness integrating training into training. Four electronic databases were searched; however, relevance, only published between 2013 2023 was considered. Overall, 70 studies that focused on five key themes, namely, (i) knowledge healthcare among nurses; (ii) attitudes nurses towards healthcare; (iii) barriers to promotion; (iv) practices; (v) resources promote healthcare, retrieved. Nurses found have a lack or suboptimal regarding healthcare. Moreover, their practices related provision varied substantially.
