The effects of consuming hemp seed protein (HSP) as well its hydrolysate-derived bioactive peptide (HSP+) on blood pressure (BP) has not to our knowledge been investigated in humans. Background Hypertension is one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Dietary flavonoids have been reported to reduce inflammation, protect against oxidative stress, vascular endothelium, and improve health. However, relationship between dietary flavonoid intake prevalence hypertension remains controversial. Methods This study included 8010 adults from 2007-2010 2017-2018 National Health Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES). The was explored by weighted logistic regression restricted cubic spline. Results We found an inverse total anthocyanin in fourth quartile compared with first [0.81(0.66,0.99), p = 0.04]. Moreover, tended decrease increasing participants over 60 years age.
