Bu çalışmanın amacı, İskandinav kurumsalcılığı akımının ortaya çıkışını, kurumsal kuramdan ayrılan özelliklerini ve temel argümanlarını koymaktır. doğrultuda kuramın yayılım kavramı kurumsalcılığının bir ürünü olan çeviri karşılaştırılarak çözümlemeler yapılmış son dönemde gelişmekte yazını konusunda detaylı literatür taraması hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmada, önemli derecede ayrışmadığı iki akımın birbirinden bağımsız olarak ele alınmaması gerektiği ileri sürülmektedir. Buna göre, fikirlerin yerden başka yere transfer sürecini daha iyi anlamak için kavramlarının bütüncül bakış açısıyla alınması gerekmektedir. Çalışmada amaç, kurumsalcılığını, kaynağını aldığı kurama bağlamak değil, açısının temelde aynı argümanlara birbirlerini tamamlayıcı özelliklere sahip olduklarını ifade etmektir.
