Abstract
Periodontitis,
a
microbiome‐driven
inflammatory
disease
of
the
tooth‐attachment
apparatus,
is
epidemiologically
linked
with
other
disorders,

cardio‐metabolic,
cognitive

autoimmune
diseases,
respiratory
infections,
certain
cancers.
