Background
Cisplatin
(CIS)
is
a
broad-spectrum
anticancer
drug,
with
cytotoxic
effects
on
either
malignant
or
normal
cells.
We
aimed
to
evaluate
the
hepatotoxicity
in
rats
caused
by
CIS
and
its
amelioration
co-administration
of
curcumin
resveratrol.
Materials
Methods
Forty
adult
male
divided
into
four
equal
groups:
(control
group):
were
given
saline
solution
(0.9%)
once
intraperitoneally,
daily
for
next
28
days;
(cisplatin
oral
dose
days
after
receiving
single
cisplatin
(3.3
mg/kg)
intraperitoneally
three
successive
(CIS
plus
curcumin/resveratrol
groups):
received
same
previous
followed
administration
at
(20
(10
consequently
days.
Different
laboratory
tests
(ALT,
AST,
ALP,
bilirubin,
oxidative
stress
markers)
light
microscopic
investigations
done.
Results
Administration
resulted
form
increased
liver
enzymes,
markers;
degenerative
apoptotic
changes,
resveratrol
improved
through
structural
reduction
enzymes
activity,
decreased
markers,
degenerative,
changes
tissues.
Conclusion
Co-administration
treatment
could
ameliorate
via
anti-inflammatory
stress-apoptotic
pathways.

ABSTRACT
Rhamnetin
is
a
naturally
occurring
flavonoid
compound
found
in
many
wild
plant
species
and
indigenous
fruits.
Despite
its
numerous
biological
potentials,
such
as
anti‐inflammatory,
antioxidant
antimicrobial
effects,
there
lack
of
literature
elucidating
gastroprotective
action
anticipating
molecular
mechanism.
Natural
products
can
be
good
alternative
to
overcome
the
side
effects
relapses
associated
with
anti‐ulcer
drugs.
This
study
aims
elucidate
rhamnetin's
acute
toxicity
using
indomethacin
ulceration
model.
Animals

arbitrarily
divided
into
five
groups:

carboxymethyl
cellulose;
