Introduction
The
COVID-19
pandemic
has
significantly
shaped
the
global
landscape
and
impacted
various
aspects
of
individuals’
lives,
especially
behaviour
school-going
adolescents
regarding
substance
use.
Among
these
substances,
alcohol
is
most
predominant
substance,
particularly
among
adolescents,
who
also
are
highly
susceptible
to
harmful
use,
such
as
poor
academic
performance,
psychiatric
disorders
disrupted
social
lives.
This
review
will
synthesise
known
prevalence
estimates
associated
factors
use
in
Southern
African
Development
Community
(SADC)
since
pandemic.
Methods
analysis

systematic

Cochrane

for
Systematic
Reviews.

Since
the
outbreak
of
COVID-19
pandemic
in
December
2019
and
associated
restrictions,
mental
health
children
adolescents
has
been
increasingly
discussed
media.
Negative
impacts
pandemic,
including
a
sharp
increase
psychopathology
and,
consequently,
reduced
quality
life,
appear
to
have
particularly
affected
young
people,
who
may
be
especially
vulnerable
adverse
effects

Nevertheless,

with

their
health.
The
present
study
therefore
explored
links
between
infection
(in
oneself
or
family
member,
as
death

factors

self-efficacy,

problems,
emotion
dysregulation,
victimization.

this
purpose,
we
examined

from
2129

using
structural
equation
model.
We
found
medium
high
loadings
manifest
variables
latent
(COVID-19,
factors,
psychopathology).
Protective

significant
negative
correlation

Abstract
We
aimed
