Abstract With the research sex gap impacting available data on women’s health and growing popularity of social media, it is not rare that individuals will seek health-related information such platforms. Understanding how women use media for perinatal-specific issues crucial to gain knowledge specific needs gaps. The Tumblr platform an excellent candidate further understand representation discourse regarding perinatal media. objective was identify themes assess present pertaining health. Posts were collected using Tumblr’s official API client over a 4-day period, from August 18 21, 2023, inclusively. A sentiment analysis performed Valence Aware Dictionary sEntiment Reasoner toolkit deductive thematic analysis. In total, 235 posts analyzed, 11 individual categories identified divided into two main concepts; Women’s Health (Endometriosis; Postpartum Depression, Menopause, Miscarriage, Other Problems, Political Discourse) Pregnancy/Childbirth (Maternal Mortality, Personal Stories, Pregnancy Symptoms, Fitness/diet/weight). last category classified as Misinformation/Advertisement. Findings revealed users used share personal experiences pregnancy, support others, raise awareness, educate topics. Misinformation represented only 3% total sample. study demonstrates feasibility in-depth inform us current topics More studies are needed better impact misinformation

Perinatal mental illness is a prevalent global concern impacting pregnant women and new mothers. Women frequently utilize technology for perinatal health (PMH) assistance, including smartphone applications, web-based platforms, social media, online support groups. This study aims to understand mothers' perceived acceptability effectiveness of technologies the challenges they face while adopting those navigate their PMH journey. We conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews with mothers (n=15) who were either or in postpartum. Additionally, we gathered data (1600 posts corresponding 10,000 comments) from communities explore discussions concerning utilization during period. Our findings elucidate diverse experiences around professional help, support, anonymity, misinformation when using how these shape envision future aspects. Based on findings, recommend developing evidence-based that continuously throughout pregnancy postpartum advocating existing prioritize transparency, empowering make informed decisions enhance digital literacy regarding resources.

Telehealth has significantly enhanced various medical sectors, notably in postpartum care, by increasing breastfeeding rates and reducing depression. However, issues patient management triage, particularly high-demand telehealth lactation consultations, lead to LC burnout, unnecessary costs diagnostic delays. To address these challenges, this study introduces a pain assessment tool for enhancing patient-provider communication through momentary AI mediation. It features user interface with image quality condition classification algorithms, aiding remote diagnosis triage. Online mothering is an arising and multifaceted phenomenon as the online world offers unique opportunities risks in a particularly challenging period. The study explored the potential of large language models (LLMs) (advanced AI trained to understand and generate human-like language) like ChatGPT personalized narratives about perinatal mental health concerns wellbeing.
