The loss of muscle mass and strength in elderly population (especially after the age 65-70) represents a public health problem. Due to high prevalence frailty older adults, cardiovascular or low-intensity exercise is implemented as first choice option. Although beneficial these training schemes are not effective strength-based resistance for increasing hypertrophy. In fact, when performed progressively under professional supervision, has been proposed an important valid methodology reduce sarcopenia-related problems. this mini-review, we only summarize benefits weight but also highlight practical recommendations other non-conventional methods (e.g., suspension training) part integral anti-sarcopenia strategy. Future directions including cluster set configurations high-speed outlined.

Elevated allostatic load (AL) has been associated with adverse socioenvironmental stressors and tumor characteristics that convey poor prognosis in patients breast cancer. Currently, the association between AL all-cause mortality cancer is unknown. To examine cancer. This cohort study used data from an institutional electronic medical record registry at National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Center. Participants were diagnoses (stage I-III) January 1, 2012, through December 31, 2020. Data analyzed April 2022 November 2022.AL was expressed as a summary score calculated by assigning 1 point for biomarkers worst sample quartile. High defined greater than median. The main outcome mortality. A Cox proportional hazard models robust variance tested mortality. There 4459 (median [IQR] age, 59 [49-67] years) ethnoracial distribution of 3 Hispanic Black (0.1%), 381 non-Hispanic (8.5%), 23 White (0.5%), 3861 (86.6%), 27 other race (0.6%), 164 (3.7%).
