Intestinal flora metabolites played a crucial role in immunomodulation by influencing host immune responses through various pathways. Macrophages, as type of innate cell, were essential chemotaxis, phagocytosis, inflammatory responses, and microbial elimination. Different macrophage phenotypes had distinct biological functions, regulated diverse factors mechanisms. Advances intestinal sequencing metabolomics have enhanced understanding how affect functions. These varying effects on polarization different mechanisms influence. This study summarized the impact gut microbiota phenotype function, along with underlying associated produced flora.
