This study focuses on determining the correlation between digital competencies and academic self-efficacy of students in universities Selva Central (Central Jungle) region Peru to establish significance these factors achievement. employs a quantitative, hypothesis-testing design is both fundamental co-relational nature; 84 from Universidad de la were selected. Purpose In the context of nursing in higher education, digital competencies are increasingly recognised as a necessary skillset, within continuously evolving healthcare professional landscape. This study sought to explore students’ and further understand literacy gaps barriers they encounter for both learning future work. Design/methodology/approach The research involved cross-sectional, discipline-based empirical self-assessed via questionnaire survey, which collected quantitative qualitative data from total five hundred fifty-three students. explored role demographics (age, urban/rural geographical location growing up, year, disabilities (neurodiversity)) experiences divides (e.g., access, contextual behavioural barriers) play on outcomes. Findings Students’ were found at an intermediate level, with younger first-year students self-assessing higher. Significant differences identified between who had encountered barriers/divides those not, former, self-reporting lower competencies. Students reported complex support needs processing organizing information productivity. Almost all individual items assessed strong statistical correlations them. RESUMO Este artigo constitui uma Revisão Sistemática de Literatura com o objetivo analisar a produção acadêmico-científica sobre as competências em informação e digitais necessárias para atuar ambientes digitais. Inicialmente, realizou-se pesquisa documental exploratória nas bases dados da CAPES Web of Science identificar número artigos científicos publicados nos últimos seis anos essa temática. Dos 116 inicialmente levantados, procedeu-se análise qualitativa, utilizando conteúdo, resultando na seleção 26 mais aprofundada. Além apresentação das atuação no ciberespaço, foram realizadas reflexões tema. Concluiu-se que do estudo foi alcançado. No entanto, identificadas algumas limitações. A primeira refere-se à dificuldade localização dos entendimento conceitos, devido variedade terminologias utilizadas representar os fenômenos, muitas quais conhecidas apenas após leitura artigos.
