This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the chloroplast (cp) genomes Cornus species, including comparative and phylogenetic evaluations, as well examinations their genomic structure composition. The cp exhibit typical circular quadripartite demonstrate highly similar gene order structure. complete genome size 10 taxa in this is 156,965 bp to 157,383 bp, where length large single-copy (LSC) region 86,296 86,691 small (SSC) 18,386 18,454 inverted repeat (IR) 23,143 26,112 bp. A total 131 genes were found, 86 protein-coding (PCGs), eight rRNA genes, 37 tRNA genes. mean GC content 38.145%, LSC 36.396%, SSC 32.372%, IR 43.076%. Despite relatively conserved nature within species , 25–31 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) identified our study. SSRs found be distributed LSC, SSC, regions hongkongensis subsp. C. elegans gigantea tonkinensis while SSR was not other six taxa. Thus, whole genomics valuable tool for identification, taxonomic clarification, evolutionary analysis. Furthermore, findings reveal that along with kousa elliptica form sister groups. Notably, ferruginea melanotricha did affinity . Our furnishes essential data further research on classification provides novel insights into relationship subg. Syncarpea

Abstract Background The disputed phylogenetic position of Aerides flabellata Rolfe ex Downie, due to morphological overlaps with related species, was investigated based on evidence complete chloroplast (cp) genomes. structural characterization cp genomes A. and rosea Lodd. Lindl. & Paxton were analyzed compared those six species in “ Vanda - alliance” provide genomic information taxonomy phylogeny. Results exhibited conserved quadripartite structures, 148,145 bp 147,925 length, similar GC content (36.7 ~ 36.8%). Gene annotations revealed 110 single-copy genes, 18 duplicated inverted regions, ten introns. Comparative analysis across confirmed stable sequence identity higher variation regions. However, there are notable differences the IR regions between two Lour. other species. CDS from indicated that except formed a monophyletic clade nested subtribe Aeridinae, being sister group Renanthera Lour., consistent previous studies. Meanwhile, separate consisted R. Abstract Background Balanites aegyptiaca (L.) Delile, commonly known as desert date, is a thorny evergreen tree belonging to the family Zygophyllaceae and subfamily Tribuloideae that widespread in arid semiarid regions. This plant an important source of food medicines plays role conservation strategies for restoring degraded ecosystems. Results In present study, we sequenced complete plastome B. . The chloroplast genome was 155,800 bp, with typical four-region structure: large single copy (LSC) region 86,562 small (SSC) 18,102 inverted repeat regions (IRa IRb) 25,568 bp each. GC content 35.5%. contains 107 genes, 75 which coding proteins, 28 tRNA, 4 rRNA. We did not observe loss plastid genes or reduction size aegyptiaca, found previously some species Zygophyllaceae. However, noticed divergence location certain at IR-LSC IR-SSC boundaries ndh relative other species. Furthermore, phylogenetic constructed from data broadly supported taxonomic classification family. be rich sequence repeats (SSRs), total 240 SSRs. Conclusions genomic available this study could useful developing molecular markers evaluate population structure, investigate genetic variation, improve production programs current will support future investigation evolution
