Introdução: O Transtorno Dismórfico Corporal (TDC), também conhecido como Dismorfia (DM), caracterizado por uma preocupação excessiva e distorcida com a aparência física, levando percepção negativa exagerada de supostas imperfeições ou defeitos em partes do corpo. Objetivo: Realizar análise abrangente impacto TDC na saúde mental, meio revisão revisões sistemáticas previamente publicadas. Metodologia: Para seleção dos estudos, foram utilizadas as plataformas pesquisa Google Acadêmico PubMed. As palavras-chave nortearam materiais tanto português quanto inglês. Foi filtrado buscas artigos pelo ano 2016 2022, abrangendo um intervalo seis anos. Resultados: Foram selecionados 18 estudos sistemática, totalizando 525 no geral. Dentre os investigados foi notado que participantes relataram insatisfação imagem corporal, tentativa suicídio baixa autoestima. Além disso, detectados cinco tipos transtornos pessoas dismorfia muscular podem vir acarretar, sendo eles Transtornos Depressivos, Alimentares, Ansiedade, Obsessivo-compulsivo Estresse pós-traumático. Conclusão: constatado sujeitos apresentam gerar prejuízos ainda maiores para desencadeando consequências mais adversas. Estes achados ressaltam necessidade investir pesquisas sobre esse tema, fim promover estratégias eficazes intervenção prevenção.

Abstract Background Meta-analytic findings documented a substantial impact of self-esteem on broad range psychological and behavioral indicators, thus highlighting its high clinical relevance. Proving simple cost-effective measure global to the Arabic-speaking community, who mostly live in low- middle-income countries, where research may be challenging, would highly valuable. In this context, we sought investigate psychometric characteristics an Arabic translation Single-Item Self-Esteem Scale (A-SISE) terms factor structure, reliability, construct validity. Methods A total 451 participants were enrolled between October December 2022. An anonymous self-administered Google Forms link was shared WhatsApp. To examine structure A-SISE, used FACTOR software. We conducted exploratory analysis (EFA), using principal component Rosenberg (RSES) items first, then after adding A-SISE. Results The results EFA RSES revealed two factors (F1 = negatively-worded items; F2 positively-worded items), which explained 60.63% common variance. When two-factor solution obtained 58.74% variance, with A-SISE loading second factor. Both correlated significantly positively each other, as well extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, open mindedness satisfaction life. Real world studies and psychological literature often do not consolidate existing data with theoretical models on body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). This systematic review aims to refine empirically support the conceptual understanding of BDD through an updated framework. We systematically searched PubMed, Embase, CENTRAL, Scopus, Web Science from database inception 26 November 2023 for reporting factors predisposing or associated a diagnostic statistical manual mental disorders IV/V confirmed diagnosis BDD. Data analysis was performed qualitatively via random effects meta-analysis, followed by critical appraisal integration theories. Abstract Background Research on dysmorphic concerns (DC) in Arabic-speaking contexts is hampered by the lack of validated tools. Because DC are culturally dependent, psychometrically sound measures needed at national level to closely and accurately investigate construct specific societies populations.
