The brown marine alga Rugulopteryx okamurae (R. okamurae) has quickly spread through the Mediterranean coasts since it was firstly spotted in area 2015. This alien species already colonized a great part of western and displaced local biota, disrupting natural autochthonous ecosystem. Moreover, related 'green' tides also provoke environmental problems ashore that need to be addressed. Comprehending potential this unwanted biomass could vital importance lessen its ecological impact. In study, R. assessed for as raw material extraction reducing sugars polyphenolic compounds with antioxidant capacities. process evaluated optimized using response surface methodology (RSM) combined modified Box-Behnken design. Initially, 2 key operational factors were identified most influential parameters (i.e. drying temperature milling time). However, type solvent use zeolite included design potentially have significant impact on process. analyzed responses yields total phenolic (TPC) (RS). For TPC based ethanol solvent, 60 °C zeolite-assisted time s, reaching maximum yield 15.33 ggallic acid kg−1. RS water 100 zeolite-absence 50s, 10.42 gglucose

Vernonia amygdalina is a popular plant used both in traditional medicine and as culinary herb, one of which anticancer. Microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) reported to have the advantage producing extracts with better phenol flavonoid content so that anticancer potential extract increases. This study was conducted produce polyphenol-rich V. stem bark an Responses Surface Methodology (RSM) determine optimum conditions for extracting phenolics flavonoids from bark. The total phenolic contents were carried out using colorimetry assay. antioxidant activity optimal (VABEEo) non-optimum (VABEE) determined DPPH method support its activity. Meanwhile, VABEEo established through several tests cytotoxic test MTT assay, cell cycle arrest apoptosis flow cytometer, protein expression immunocytochemical analysis. research informs highest yield, (TPC), (TFC) obtained respectively at 7.402 g, 73.634 mg GAE/g, 64.466 QE/g microwave power 450 W 3 min solvent concentration 76.19 %. The medicinal properties of Spondias mombin Linn leaves have been recognized historically, particularly in cancer treatment, diarrhea, and diabetes management. The purpose this study is to investigate the chemical constituents using GC-MS HPLC, assess antioxidant antiinflammatory S. n-hexane methanol leaf extracts animal models.Antioxidant activity was assessed DPPH, hydrogen peroxide ABTS scavenging assays while anti-inflammatory potential acetic acid-induced vascular permeability carrageenan-induced paw edema rats.GC-MS analysis detected 10octadecenoic acid methyl ester, 11,14-octadecadienoic ester phytol, as main compounds extract; tricyclo[8.6.0.0(2,9)]hexadeca-3,15-diene, Original Research Articlehexadecanoic are present key extract. The HPLC extract profile identified quercetin, kaempferol, naringenin, luteolin (flavonoids) along with cholesterol, saponin maleic major bioactive compounds. Both demonstrated a concentration-dependent increase radical activities indicating noteworthy property. The significantly higher levels total phenolics (185.194± 0.271 mg/g gallic acid), flavonoids (130.568± 0.744 rutin) overall capacity (58.389 ± 0.292 ascorbic acid) than extract.Furthermore, promising effects, at 400 mg/kg dose, substantially inhibiting models.Presence various suggest that could be valuable natural sources antioxidants agents, potentially useful managing oxidative stress inflammatory conditions.
