Rare earth elements such as neodymium (Nd) are important used mainly in developing new technologies. Although they found low concentrations nature, can be obtained by extracting solid samples phosphogypsum. Among the techniques, adsorption has been successfully with several adsorbent materials. In this work, two strains of Spirulina platensis (LEB-18 and LEB-52) were employed biosorbents for efficiently removing Nd element from aqueous media. Biosorption tests carried out a batch system, results biosorption kinetics showed that both materials, was better described Avrami model. Moreover, it could considered 80 min would necessary to attain equilibrium Nd(III) using biosorbents. The result isotherms strains, best-fitted model Liu model, having maximum capacity 72.5 mg g−1 LEB-18 48.2 LEB-52 at temperature 298 K. Thermodynamics process favorable (∆G° < 0) exothermic (∆H° −23.2 ∆H° −19.9 LEB-52). Finally, suitable uptake Nd, attributed high amount P S groups biomass. Based on results, mechanism electrostatic attraction Nd3+ phosphate sulfate proposed.

Primary pulmonary salivary gland type tumors (PSPTGS) are infrequent tumors, but they usually mimic the clinical presentation of common pathologies, having to be considered for differential diagnosis with diseases subacute/chronic evolution, such as tuberculosis. They should suspected in young, non-smoking individuals symptoms cough and hemoptysis; unlike other lung cancers, slow-growing, detected localized stages. As generally large located proximal airway, easily accessible by bronchoscopy, allowing them resected biopsied.

Introduction: Flexible bronchoscopy is a less invasive procedure for extracting foreign bodies from the airways. However, studies on extraction of headscarf pins are still very limited to determine efficacy and safety pin using flexible with biopsy forceps. Methods: This retrospective study was conducted at Persahabatan Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia, patients who had been treated in this hospital between January 2013 February 2023. Fibreoptic performed under general anaesthesia. The removed Radial Jaw 4 mm single-use pulmonary impacted sharp tip freed first, proximal part body gripped Once firm hold end or secured, bronchoscope forceps were both slowly withdrawn direct vision. Results: Thirty-two cases aspiration managed by fibreoptic bronchoscopy. A total 12 (37.5%) came without any respiratory complaints; however, an equal number complained cough 6 (18.7%) haemoptysis. All which visible airway found round head down oriented superiorly mucosa. succeeded 31 (96.8%). Only one case converted surgery. There no major complications. Conclusion: anaesthesia safe effective removal aspiration.

Total airway obstruction in thyroid cancer is rare and has high morbidity mortality. Airway management such cases challenging, especially which masses cannot be totally resected. It important to choose the appropriate treatment modality. Currently, therapeutic rigid bronchoscopy procedures endoluminal lasers, as well stent insertion, are a modality of near-total malignant obstruction. We report procedure combined with laser Y-stent silicone insertion extension infiltration, compression trachea covering subglottic tracheal area up main carina tracheo-bronchomalacia, manifesting acute respiratory failure.
