Existing literature demonstrates that COVID-19 lockdowns negatively impacted body image for most people. However, the exact nature of shifts during and impact sexuality had on these remains understudied. We sought to investigate this phenomenon among queer men – an at-risk population negative image. Participants were 268 (Mage = 35.30 years) Australian men. They completed measures lockdown-induced dissatisfaction, disordered eating exercising, dysmorphic symptomology, anxiety, depression, suicidality. Research investigating the effects of COVID-19 on eating disorders is growing rapidly. A comprehensive evaluation this literature needed to identify key findings and evidence gaps better inform policy decisions related management during after crisis. Abstract Objectives This systematic review assessed the influence of COVID‐19 pandemic and associated restrictions on body image, disordered eating (DE), disorder outcomes. Methods After registration PROSPERO, a search was conducted for papers published between December 1, 2019 August 2021, using databases PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, CINAHL Plus, AMED, MEDLINE, ERIC, EMBASE, Wiley, ProQuest (dissertations theses). Results Data from 75 qualitative, quantitative, mixed‐methods studies were synthesized convergent integrated approach presented narratively within four themes: (1) disruptions due to pandemic; (2) variability in improvement or exacerbation symptoms; (3) factors with image DE outcomes; (4) unique challenges marginalized underrepresented groups. Body image and eating disorders pose significant challenges to the overall health of athletes. However, divergent findings exist regarding potential association between athletes’ body disorders. This systematic review aims examine relationship these two variables identify modifiers association, such as gender, age, race, exercise type. A search was conducted in five databases (Web Science, PubMed, APA PsycINFO, ProQuest, EBSCO), aiming studies on athletes involved their conclusions. Ultimately, thirty-one were included for evaluation. The results indicate that is complex inconclusive. In some types sports, can occur even when are satisfied with image. Furthermore, female athletes, particularly young sports associated leanness more prone dissatisfaction. Background: The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to examine the prevalence feeding eating disorder (FED) symptoms or dysfunctional behaviours (DEB) in general population during COVID-19 outbreak. Method: We searched eligible articles biomedical databases from 1 January 2020 31 March 2022. Prevalence rates FED DEB changes between pre-pandemic pandemic time correlation with psychological distress were pooled a using random-effects model. Heterogeneity tested I-squared (I2) statistics. Objective To prospectively examine the prevalence of diagnosed eating disorders (ED-diagnosis), ED-symptoms and factors predicting in three male female high school student groups: elite athletes, trained athletes a non-athlete reference group at baseline (T1) 1-year follow-up (T2). Methods A survey was administered (n=1186) (T2) (n=1144) (step-one). Participants classified with by Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDEQ 6.0) T2 were invited to diagnostic interview (step-two).
