Large amounts of enriched cadmium (Cd) in the environment seriously threatens healthy and sustainable development aquaculture industry greatly restricts food processing industry. Studying distribution toxic effects Cd fish, as well possible on human body, is very significant. A large number studies have shown that accumulation fish are biologically specific, cause tissue differences, damage integrity structure function, antioxidant defense system, reproductive regulation immune system. The physiological, biochemical, enzyme, molecular, gene expression levels change with different concentrations times exposure, these changes closely related to target sites action tissues fish. Therefore, occur multiple tissues, systems, levels.

Heavy metals cause deleterious effects on human health and drastically alter the biogeochemical cycles within freshwater habitats. The main activities leading to heavy metal contamination of various aquatic ecosystems comprise industry, agriculture, urbanization, transport mining. Lake Nasser is source in Egypt, usually polluted from upstream hydrographic basin River Nile. current study surveyed impact (i.e., Cd, Zn, Pb Cu) water, sediment two Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fish organs (liver muscles) at six sampling sites along Nasser. Additionally, bioaccumulation ecosystem, via sediments were investigated. conclusion that water safe for use terms consumption, agricultural utilization public sanitation.

Copper (Cu), one of the heavy metals, is far beyond carrying capacity environment with Cu mining, industrial wastewater discharging and use Cu-containing pesticides. Intaking excess can cause toxic effects on liver, kidney, heart, but few studies report toxicity brain tissue. It noteworthy that most tests are based rodent models, large mammals chosen as animal models has no reported. To explore relationship mitochondria-mediated apoptosis hypothalamus in pigs, content Cu, histomorphology, mitochondrial related indicators, apoptosis, AMPK-mTOR signaling pathway were detected. Results showed could accumulate lead to dysfunction, evidenced by decrease ATP production, activities respiratory chain complex I-IV, function Cu-treated groups. Additionally, genes proteins expression Bax, Caspase-3, Cytc treatment group higher than control group. Furthermore, protein level p-AMPK was enhanced significantly p-mTOR declined, which manifested activated In conclusion, this study illuminated accumulation induce activate hypothalamus.
