Relationships between overwork, burnout and suicidal ideation among resident physicians in hospitals in Japan with medical residency programmes: a nationwide questionnaire-based survey DOI Creative Commons

Objectives This study examined the relationships between overwork, burnout and suicidal ideation among resident physicians working in hospitals throughout Japan. Design A nationwide, questionnaire-based survey. Setting Participating (n=416) were accredited by Japanese Medical Specialty Board to offer medical residency programmes 19 core specialties. Surveys conducted October 2020. Participants Valid responses obtained from 4306 (response rate: 49%). Outcome measures Items pertaining Burnout Scale, depressive tendencies included questionnaires. Multiple regression analyses performed: was response variable; sex, age, specialty, marital status, income, weekly hours workplace (ownership, number of beds, full-time regional classification) explanatory variables. Results Regarding highest score recorded for ‘sense personal accomplishment’, followed ‘emotional exhaustion’ ‘depersonalization’. Increased emotional exhaustion depersonalisation associated with longer hours, but there no such trend sense accomplishment. Depressive noted 24.1% 5.6% respondents, respectively. These percentages tended increase when respondents worked hours. Evidence shows that improved understanding of knowledge about COVID-19 transmission, symptoms, and prevention is crucial for effective epidemic preparedness management. Given gender differences in vulnerability the different ways young people responded to pandemic, this paper investigated COVID-19-related among youth post-secondary education training institutions South Africa. Data from 6,681 respondents showed correctly answered 65.1% questions COVID-19. The respondents' overall transmission (82.6%) preventive practices (75.6%) was relatively high, compared their symptoms (57.5%). Método: Se realizó un instrumental determinar evidencias validez confiabilidad herramienta La muestra estuvo constituida por 1218 diferentes áreas: Arte, Ciencias, Ciencias Sociales, Jurídicas, Ingenierías Arquitectura, Salud, Humanidades. Resultados: Los resultados señalan reagrupación competencias digitales estructura tres factores (F1, F2, F3) 22 competencias, diferencia original compuesta seis factores.
