Cocaine, methamphetamine, ectasy (3,4-methylenedioxy amphetamine (MDMA)) and ketamine are among the most consumed drugs worldwide causing cognitive, oxidative stress cardiovascular problems in humans. Residue levels of these their transformation products may still enter aquatic environment, where concentrations up to hundreds ng/L have been measured. In present work we tested hypothesis that psychotropic effects mode action D. magna responses equivalent those reported humans other vertebrate models. Accordingly expose juveniles pharmacological environmental relevant concentrations. The study was complemented with measurement main neurotransmitters involved known mechanisms mammals physiological amino acids. Behavioural cognitive patters clearly differentiate 3 psychostimulant (methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA) from dissociative one ketamine. Psychostimulant at doses (10-200 μM), increased basal locomotion activities light, decreased habituation it. Ketamine only light. four enhanced production reactive oxygen species a concentration related manner, moderate (10-60 μM) heartbeats, diminishing them high (200 μM). chronic exposures low (10-1000 ng/L) did not affect any behavioural measured but methamphetamine cocaine inhibited reproduction 10 ng/L. Observed on metabolites were concern mammalian models: MDMA dopamine serotonin levels, respectively, octopamine, all MT levels. Drug acids evidence disruptive neurotransmitter synthesis, urea cycle, lipid metabolism cardiac function.

Abstract The heat shock protein (HSP) gene families, present across prokaryotes to eukaryotes, play vital roles in growth, development, and resistance processes. While HSP proteins have been identified characterized various species, this study achieved the first genome-wide identification characterization of Aedes aegypti genome. This assessed 80 potential genes Ae. aegypti. phylogenetic relationships were investigated aegypti, Anopheles stephensi, Drosophila melanogaster. Additionally, structural features, chromosomal locations, characteristics, 3D structure, protein–protein interactions, microsatellites associated with examined analysis families revealed distinct intra-group for each group. Each family exhibited relatively conserved genetic structures motif components. In expression growth high was observed certain HSP20 HSP70 genes, while others low expression. Notably, sex-dependent differences observed, particularly genes. These findings, relationships, evolution, modification are illuminated by these comprehensive a better understanding mechanisms underlying vector organisms is facilitated.

The control of reproductive processes in Rhodnius prolixus involves a variety neuroactive chemicals. Among these, several studies have suggested that the biogenic amine octopamine (OA), might play an active role these processes. Here, we investigate molecular profile R . α adrenergic-like OA receptor 1 (RpOAα1-R) and its egg production. Comparative analyses confirm RpOAα1-R gene codes for true OAα1 receptor. transcript is highly expressed tissues associated with production, after blood meal, which stimulus full production , upregulated ovaries spermatheca. After RNAi-mediated knockdown, ovarian phenotype characterized by slow development observed. Furthermore, altered has been eggs are deformed. Interestingly, there no evidence disruption vitellogenin (Vg) synthesis fat body or uptake oocytes. On other hand, downregulation correlated defective choriogenesis eggs. These results provide critical information concerning OAα1-R oogenesis
