Abstract Social media use has grown prevalent across the world, affecting lives of people all ages, including university students. People may now create, share, and interact with others long distances because to increased acceptance social platforms. The goal this study was investigate consequences on students' learning, sleeping habits, interactions. A cross-sectional approach used using a sample 200 students from First Technical University in Ibadan, Nigeria. questionnaire utilized collect data, statistical analysis performed Chi-squared (Fisher's exact test) method. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused substantial disruptions in the lives of higher education students, with detrimental repercussions for academic performance and overall mental health. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate prevalence depression, anxiety, stress symptoms among Portuguese students during first wave coronavirus investigate DASS-21's psychometric characteristics whether it functions effectively a pandemic. A convenience sampling procedure was used recruit 1522 participants (75.1% women 79.2% undergraduate students) this cross-sectional research. Objective: To analyze the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on education and health university students. Methods: Cross-sectional study, carried out with 163 students from different courses, between May December 2022, in São Paulo, Brazil. Google Forms was used to capture information related academic dynamics during pandemic. Results: The majority were women field, studying their third year college. 53.1% considered online classes be bad or terrible, but only 43.6% thought about giving up studies period. Most participants spent five nine hours a day front screens, 57.7% said they experienced drop performance. Students had problems sleeping (58.2%, p<0.001), increased moments stress, fatigue, depression, anxiety (76.7%, felt hopeless (71.7%, p< 0.001), showed changes weight period (75.4%, p<0.001). Individuals with chronic illnesses and those infected SARS-CoV-2 often face stigma, shame, psychological distress related to their conditions.
