Parkinson's disease (PD) is a degenerative neurological condition marked by the gradual loss of dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra pars compacta. The precise etiology PD remains unclear, but emerging evidence suggests significant role for disrupted autophagy-a crucial cellular process maintaining protein and organelle integrity.

Ferroptosis is a form of regulated cell death (RCD) triggered by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and closely associated with the occurrence progression hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The lncRNA SNHG1 (small nucleolar RNA host gene 1) has been shown to play an oncogenic role in HCC, but its function RCD other than autophagy apoptosis still unknown. Here, we investigated correlation between 156 typical markers five types based on sequencing data from Cancer Genome Atlas database showed negative regulators ferroptosis FANCD2 (Fanconi anemia complementation group D2) G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) be most highly fifth correlating factors SNHG1, respectively. A competitive endogenous network - miR-199a-5p/3p FANCD2/G6PD was constructed bioinformatically. In vitro experiments that overexpression miR-199a precursor led decrease expression FANCD2, G6PD, whereas knockdown decreased increased levels miR-199a-5p miR-199a-3p HCC cells (Huh7 HepG2). addition, erastin-mediated ferroptosis, iron accumulation, peroxidation. These results suggest upregulates sponging miR-199a, thereby inhibiting HCC. Moreover, signature identified as being overall survival immunological microenvironment Collectively, this study SNHG1-miR-199a-FANCD2/G6PD axis which potential marker for prognosis therapy tumor.

The pivotal regulatory role of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), especially exosomal ncRNAs, in ferroptosis significantly influences cancer cell fate. This review explores their involvement across various human cancers, focusing on microRNAs (miRNA), long (lncRNA), and circular (circRNA). These ncRNAs either stimulate or inhibit by targeting key components, impacting susceptibility to this form death. Specific studies lung, gastric, liver, cervical, bladder, pancreatic, osteosarcoma cancers underscore the crucial modulating ferroptosis, influencing progression, therapeutic responses. Emphasizing potential we discuss ability deliver circRNA, miRNA, lncRNA target cells. Despite being early stages with challenges bioengineering for drug delivery, these hold promise future clinical applications. Noteworthy findings include inhibiting exosome production overcome resistance lung adenocarcinoma DACT3-AS1 sensitize gastric cells ferroptosis. concludes highlighting like miR-4443 miR-660–5p as promising targets, offering avenues precise interventions signaling pathways sensitizing Overall, enhances our understanding pathogenesis presents new horizons targeted interventions, revealing intricate interplay between

Abstract As one of the leading causes death worldwide, cancer significantly burdens patients and healthcare system. The role long non-protein coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in carcinogenesis has been extensively studied. lncRNA ELFN1-AS1 was discovered recently, subsequent studies have revealed its aberrantly high expression various tissues. In vitro vivo experiments consistently demonstrated close association between increased malignant tumor characteristics, particularly gastrointestinal malignancies. Functional assays further mechanistic as a competitive endogenous RNA for microRNAs, inducing growth, invasive features, drug resistance. Additionally, investigation into clinical implication potential diagnostic, therapeutic, and, notably, prognostic marker. This review provides comprehensive summary evidence regarding involvement initiation development, highlighting significance.
