This paper examines the impact of COVID-19 vaccination on food insecurity in United States, using data from Household Pulse Survey.Our primary research design exploits variation vaccine eligibility across states over time as an instrumental variable to address endogeneity decision.We find that had a substantial hardship by reducing likelihood 24%, with even stronger effects among minority and financially disadvantaged populations.Our results are robust alternative specifications use regression discontinuity identification strategy.We also show positive spillover assistance programs, specifically participation Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which suggests policy can be effective alleviating fiscal burden pandemic government.Furthermore, our analysis indicates vaccinated individuals exhibit increased financial optimism, measured expectations about future loss employment income well ability make mortgage debt payments.Based point estimates, implied elasticity respect optimism is between -0.57 -0.86.Our findings suggest program has implications extend beyond direct health benefits.Taken together, underscore critical role medical innovations interventions improving economic security, especially vulnerable populations, during public crises.

Food insecurity disproportionately affects low-income, racially marginalized, and rural communities. The COVID-19 pandemic led to higher demand for emergency food distribution, potentially impacting pantry operations services. Limited research exists assessing consumer nutrition environments of pantries in regions. To assess the environment report challenges adaptations encountered during pandemic. Objetivo: Analisar a distribuição das ocorrências de morbimortalidade da COVID-19 no contexto dos Determinantes Sociais Saúde região saúde Cariri, Ceará. Métodos: O estudo é do tipo ecológico série temporal descritivo utilizando dados secundários, entre janeiro 2020 agosto 2021, extraídos plataformas IntegraSUS, Instituto Pesquisa e Estratégia Econômica Ceará Brasileiro Geografia Estatística. local foi Região As variáveis utilizadas foram: rendimento familiar; densidade moradores por dormitório; gênero faixa etária; casos confirmados óbitos COVID-19. Os foram tabulados partir planilhas Microsoft Excel 2019 para posterior análise com base na estatística frequência absoluta relativa. Resultados: No observado que 8.916 famílias vivem menos um salário-mínimo, sendo área Juazeiro Norte o maior número mais ¼ ½ salário-mínimo mês. município Acopiara apresentou taxa letalidade Orós mortalidade. Embora feminino apresentasse morbidade, masculino, em todas as áreas descentralizadas. Conclusão: fatores relacionados ao processo saúde-doença-cuidado relevantes Cariri Cearense.
