Bee venom acupuncture (BVA) is used in traditional Korean medicine (TKM) for various diseases, but its evaluation within clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) has not been comprehensively reviewed. This study aimed to review TKM-CPGs characterize the range of conditions which BVA recommended, summarize level evidence and recommendation grades, assess factors influencing grades. Eighteen TKM-CPGs, including 30 BVA-related recommendations, were identified. Data on targeted diseases/symptoms, treatment protocols, levels, grades extracted. The CPGs recommended musculoskeletal neurological disorders standalone or combined therapy. Most recommendations was evaluated with low moderate levels based randomized controlled trials. mostly B C, indicating that advisable potentially beneficial. Although offer some guidance protocols BVA, there remains a lack detailed specifications, we need conduct additional research provide evidence. Also, heterogeneity across different presents challenge establishing consistent guidelines. Future should focus generating high-quality standardizing regimens support more robust TKM practice.

Background Shoulder pain, subluxation, and motor dysfunction are common issues in hemiplegic patients, which hinder the recovery of upper limb function have a negative impact on patients’ daily life abilities quality life. Current rehabilitation interventions alone can not purposefully address aforementioned problems, while bilateral training (BT) contralaterally controlled functional electrical stimulation (CCFES) be synergistically coordinated to provide simultaneous treatment for shoulders. Objective This study attempted treat patients using with (BT-CCFES), aiming observe changes shoulder function. Methods Thirty-eight individuals who had experienced hemiplegia pain subluxation due stroke were randomly divided into two groups: control group an experimental consisting nineteen cases both. Patients underwent neuromuscular (NMES) therapy, those received BT-CCFES. Before after four-week period, distance (SSD) was measured flexible ruler, level assessed visual analogue scale (VAS). Additionally, joint active range motion (AROM) extremity Fugl-Meyer assessment (UE-FMA) used evaluate Results After four weeks treatment, there significant improvements SSD, VAS, UE-FMA, AROM ( p < 0.001), as well 0.05). The between showed differences SSD (−9.74 ± 6.63 vs −3.58 5.51, = 0.016), flexion (37.37 14.08 21.05 12.65, UE-FMA (15.21 4.30 8.84 4.26, difference VAS (−1.31 1.34 −1.10 1.24, 0.619) abduction (15.00 8.82 10.79 7.86, 0.111) significant. Conclusion BT-CCFES prevent stroke, improve function, is superior NMES except relief.

Hemiplegic shoulder pain (HSP) is a common complication after stroke. It severely affects the recovery of upper limb motor function. Early in hemiplegic patients mainly neuropathic caused by central nerve injury or neuroplasticity. Commonly used corticosteroid injections joint can reduce pain; however, side effects also include soft tissue degeneration increased tendon fragility, and long-term remain controversial. Botulinum toxin are relatively new thought to block transmission receptors cavity inhibit production neuropathogenic substances neurogenic inflammation. Some studies suggest that hemiplegia stroke changes system related pain, persistent may induce reorganization cortical sensory center center. However, there no conclusive evidence as whether not amelioration botulinum brain In previous versus glucocorticoids (triamcinolone acetonide injection) treatment lack observation differences As content assessments improvement was predominantly subjective, objective quantitative assessment indicators were lacking. Functional near-infrared imaging (fNIRS) remedy this problem.

Shoulder pain after occurs in the first 3 months with an occurrence rate 25-72% due to strong natural neurological mechanism during time, interferes recovery motor function, increases hospital stay, is associated depression, limits mobility as well inhibits treatment results. In Vietnam, Traditional Medicine (TM) has played essential role treating rehabilitating for quite a long time. Studies on pathology (Jian Tong) TM Vietnam are still inadequate. Therefore, this study evaluated severity characteristics post-stroke Jian Tong patients ischaemic stroke.

Abstract Objective To provide a new insight into the diagnosis and treatment of hemiplegic shoulder pain (HSP) by investigating changes in serum mediators. Design Cross‐sectional study. Subjects/patients Shoulder group ( n = 34) control 21). Methods Pain‐free mobility, anxiety status, depression were measured passive range motion (PROM), self‐rating scale, scale (SDS), visual analog respectively. The enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay was used to test mediators, including interleukin (IL)‐1β, IL‐2, IL‐6, IL‐10, nerve growth factor (NGF), tumor necrosis factor‐α (TNF‐α), substance P (SP), calcitonin gene‐related peptide (CGRP), bradykinin (BK), 5‐hydroxytryptamine (5‐HT), prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). Results pain‐free PROM significantly lower than p < .01), SDS index score higher .05). rate spasticity flexor elbow muscles is .01). CGRP, IL‐2 upregulated compared with whereas NGF, TNF‐α, 5‐HT, PGE2, SP, LPA, BK, IL‐1β decreased Conclusion Patients HSP have risk joint mobility disorders depression; may be an important development pain; CGRP thought major mediator HSP, not inflammatory.
