An
increasing
body
of
studies
have
revealed
a
correlation
between
self-control
and
problematic
short-form
video
usage.
However,
the
cognitive
mechanism
underlying
this
relationship
remains
unclear.
This
study
aims
to
investigate
mediating
roles
automaticity
value-driven
attention
Meanwhile,
scale
usage
test
(PSVUT)
was
developed
while
Chinese
version
Value-Driven
Attention
Questionnaire
(VDAQ)
verified.
Drawing
upon
561
valid
survey
responses
from
respondents,
findings
show
that
PSVUT
VDAQ
used
in
good
validity
reliability.
Furthermore,
serial
mediation
modelling
fully
mediates
Individuals
with
lower
tend
exhibit
automatic
responses,
hence
selectively
attend
towards
valuable
stimuli.
These
processes
ultimately
lead
contributes
literature
by
empirically
verifying
I-PACE
theoretical
model
providing
significant
implications
for
preventing
online
use
behaviours.
